@shawniiex (sp) and @garychengjw sent it into a cup of water (idek how I did it, phone too smooth). Not even full immersion, just top half of the phone. At the start whole phone working, only WiFi not working and water vapour at camera lens. Then suddenly now they tell me upper board, mainboard, lower board, LCD and even back cover spoil. (wtf? What could possibly be spoilt on the back cover with water??) Total $951-10%.

And no I rejected quotation, said they might as well tell me to buy a new phone that cost me lesser. My mistake for dropping but seriously, cost of repair higher than price of phone??! That's plain stupid.

If I'm HTC, and if they are reading this forum, I would offer you a new phone at a much lower price (as long as I don't lose money) instead of repairing at a price more ex than the phone itself. This should be their chance to get some good PR. Dumb.

It's really annoying as I need to take photo or attach photo from app often...too bright..

Screen too bright or camera brightness too bright? Mine's always neuural when taking shots, but u can adjust brightness with your finger moving up or down on screen.

Don't they know brand new cost 798? They should offer to buy new set rather ask you pay 200+ more on top of new set.

They just told me htc Singapore service centre refuse my request, then I asked the person is it htc trying to tell me to get an S7 that has waterproofing at a lower cost than the repair.

As usual the person only said "sorry sir..we understand.."

Well, the design is not too difficult to make it into reality. But I hope they should try to make the USB-C port at the center bottom of the phone, the mic ideally beside the USB-C port, both speakers hidden in the front of the top and bottom of the phone and fingerprint scanner either at the back of the phone or hidden under the glass of the front panel.

Sorry to hear abt ur case .... Did u highlight ur incident to the HTC person u were liasing with? No harm trying bag..... They should review ur case man .... What is ur next move?

Bought a HTC 10 from M1 on re-contract today. Happy with the phone and looks very classy with no logo on the front of the phone. Feels very solid in the hand and the phone is blazing fast as well. Think M1 is selling it at a very attractive price point especially as it includes Hi-Res earphones.
Pity they don't market it better with demo set on display. People visiting the shop won't know about it unless they visit the website.

Btw, its Made in Taiwan and not made in China. Pleasant surprise there.

Yep highlighted. Htc Singapore's in charge didn't give a damn haha. I simply asked the customer svc agent if they want me to buy an S7 and the person said that she will help me ask again or sth. Idk man I'm not even asking for free service. I even said I don't mind sacrificing my one year warranty and paying some more money. I probably will hold on until my B2 spoils, then move to Sony/ZTE since HTC has practically no compassion. I'm just a student also. Sell one kidney also cannot pay up.

You're a student too..
Wondering how old are you and if they might have capitalized on that.
I wouldn't have left the Centre without a satisfactory reply.
Eg to fix 300-400 off retail price of a phone.
Especially since they asked you to pay more than the cost of a new phone.
It's simply ridiculous and makes no sense.
