Download old HTC Asia official ROM V1.26

Dear forumers,

For those of you who's trying to root the phone, but has your firmware upgraded higher than 1.31, click the below link to download the very old official Asia firmware

Link: http://www.androidfiledepot.com/Sto..._Radio_47.26.35.04_7.05.35.26L_rel_120993.exe

After downloaded this firmware, flash onto your Legend. Then the whole process of rotting the phone will be much easier

hey, i've turned my sd card into a goldcard and then proceeded to downgrade using the ROM in ur link. but halfway through the process an error "USB Connection error 171" came out and now my phone is stuck with the HTC logo with USB plugged in and when plugged out I can only see the bootloader screen with an RUU selection but nothing else.

Before i answer your question, i need to ask you

You try downgrading is it because your firmware is higher than 1.31xxx ? Did you check your firmware before hacking ? Because if your frmware is 1.31xxx or below, you can just hack the phone w/o downgrading

Below is the link on how to downgrade to 1.31:

yep, my firmware was previously 2.xx, so i had to downgrade to root the phone. anyway, i followed that guide but instead of using the 1.31 in the guide i decided to use the RUU file u provided, and it caused the USB error. so i restarted the ROM downgrade process using the RUU file in the guide and it worked fine.

thanks anyway, so far i've managed to root the phone and load it with the latest cynanogen mod rom with froyo but now my wifi/3g don't seem to be working even after connected.

hello

My virgin post! :s13:

Hi bro, for USB error most probably is HTC driver (which comes with HTC sync) is not installed in your computer. Also you need to turn on USB debugging on your Legend.

When you connect your Legend, it should be recognized by Windows as My HTC not Android 1.0 :) Hope it helps...

Yesterday when I tried, stuck at downgrading due to the RUU from xda dev. Luckily after I downloaded RUU for Asia version from shipped-roms.com, downgraded successfully =:p

Which ROM image u are using? I'm now loaded with Azure 1.0.1, all connectivity working properly ;)

1.0.1 here as well. weird because the asia version doesn't work for me so i used the original one in the guide.

and WIFI is still not working for me. 3G is good though. and the default browser in this mod seems to be loading the webpages incorrectly, are u having the same problem?

update 1: default browser is displaying the pages correctly now after changing APN to M1 sunsurf internet from M1 gprs. but WIFI is still broken.

update 2: wifi now working after removing the proxy settings in wireless & network settings.

Hmm, mine seems to be working properly. I have tried both Wi-Fi and 3G, the browser also fine. What do you mean by loading incorrectly?

the pages were loaded in the old WAP format, and that's because i chose M1 GPRS for my APN. changed it to M1 sunsurf and now the pages are loading in the default format.

Can any of you teach me how to install map onto Legend ?

Is it just copy the file onto microsd card, then install from there ?

i think what u need is google maps, which might not have been included in the gapps. try searching in the market for it.

btw, how and what do u use to overclock ur legend?
