i am going to sell away my legend, whats the best way to erase all data on phone? set to default?

I suppose a combination of formatting and resetting to factory settings.

Any pro can enlighten me pls? With the following specification, is it still possible to flash my HTC legend to cyanogenmod 7?

HBoot = 1.01
Kernel = 2.6.32
Andriod = 2.2 Froyo via OTA update

I don't have a link on hand, but I have seen tutorial for 2.2, with 1.01. The steps are longer than the usual process.

Oh. That's a gd news. i saw some thread over at XDA. but they r all over the places. i have no idea which 1 is applicable for me.

Mind me asking how much u r getting for it? Can pm me if u prefer not to disclose here. I have a spare htc legend 2.2 that i may want to sell now i hv got my galaxy

On yr Q, i think a factory hard reset should clear all data plus dont forget to reformat the memory card if u r including it in the sale

Reason for selling is because wanna get HTC Salsa when it becomes available locally

The prob is, even if yrs is only 6 mths old, the Legend itself is a more than 1 yr old model which is only officially supported to 2.2. 3 mths ago, the telcos offered me $200 for my Legend - i m guessing today it will only fetch at most $150.

That's why i decided to keep it rather than trade-in - after all it can function as a portable wireless hotspot - imagine a huawei mifi device that does nothing but provide hotspot is also selling for $179!

I got my HTC U20 5G from etoren. They have their own website & also in LazMall. The benefit of getting from their website is 1 yr warranty, but only 1 month if on LazMall. Prices have dropped. Etoren is based in SG so you know the stocks are already here. Took only 2 days to arrive. Prices on its website is based on USD. A friend also succesfully bought Desire 20+ from there too
