if not mistaken, without rooting, cannot remove those programs...u can try under settings>> applications, but most likely cannot.

another dumb question...are there any way (cept rooting) to remove most of the programs I don't use in the phone, e.g. peep/plurk, teeter etc?

i realise that i only have 142 mb of available internal mem left, and I only installed ebuddy, astro, jewellust, and raging thunder....

yeah it is normal until google releases a patch to allow programs to be installed on the sd card; this is one of the few things that android loses out to windows mobile and symbian.

then why use it when you have other choices like the phone keypad mode?

they place the xt9 on the right side of the keyboard , sometimes i accidentally will hit that . i still prefer the phonepad kb on omnia though.

anyway , how come my phone doesnt show who is calling ? or how do i set it ? although i have caller id for my plan

The wifi really sucky for the legend... my desk is at the end of my room, and my router is across in my bro's room.. i get either 1 bar or none... if i put something next to the phone on the table = no wifi signal. It only hits full strength when I'm in the room facing my router

Anyway any tried watching videos on the legend? I'm using the Videora Android converter... but the video sound dun sync, plays ok on my com, but lags on the phone even when I set the bitrate to 512, anyone has any smooth and good settings to recommend?

youtube is ok, surprisingly, yxflash plays an episode of transformer in divx format rather smoothly without lag

that's where I'm having problem, image lags the sound by a bit, but plays smoothly... on the com everything looks ok

hi, i got my legend 3 days ago, did a full charge, played with it and after my 2nd charge i got a shock...

after i charge till 100% at around midnight, i plug out everything and left it on standby, next morning at 8am, i woke up and found the battery down to 70% !!! The battery usage was:

cell standby 58% - phone idle 33% - display 9%

i have nothing on (no bluetooth, gps, wifi), i only have the mobile broadband. i have no facebook, twitter, talk or mail sync turned on. only the weather widget is on.

i went down to HTC support, called HTC custcare, and all of them claims this is 'normal', and the best way to conserve is off everything (even broadband) if i do not need it.... com'on why get a smartphone if i off everything...

HTC support offered to change my set (which she claims is new), but i never bring receipt so i will try on monday. I went sIngtel shop at night and they changed the battery for me (now i am charging for 8 hrs before i try again). Hope i would get a better experience tomm.

anyone has such bad experience ? is this normal ? all the nexus/hero guys tell me they can use 1 to 1.5 days even with calls and network activity.

how often is the update of your weather? maybe u have other things running in the background without ur knowledge? or maybe really ur battery is faulty. best to just download advanced task killer to kill everything before sleeping; try Quick Settings.

i also suspect maybe ur gps is running in the background or maybe ur google anonymous data collection is activated?

for my legend, if i have nothing on, it can remain at 100% overnight. even for my hd2, overnight, it drops only about 5%...

i might have other things running, but if it does not connect or sync, do they suck up 30% batt ?

i just got a task killer app, even if i kill everything, some things just pop back up (stocks, phone, a bunch of 10 other things), i do have some widgets like mail (not syncing), music player (not playing lah), favourites and weather in my scenes. should not matter right ?

the location and GPS stuff definitely is turned off. i'll do experiment tomm morning and take pictures of it. if yours can remain 100% over night, then must be my phone or batt spoil liow

what format you on? resolution? running any apps in the background?

I am also experiencing fast batt drain out. Now I turn off the keyboard sound, and keep the brightness to lowest or so. Let's see if it can make it for 2-3days.

lol from the reviews i have read many of them have said that expect to charge your phone once a day so gd luck with that self-restraining order

lame lo you if you have been keeping watch of this phone ...when it 1st came out both m1 and starhub were having promotion you dun buy 1 week later than kp ...zzz

it's not really restraining actually. You can still use this phone comfortably. The brightness might be a bit loss but the keyboard's click is sometime unnecessary. Everybody's preference is different I guess.
