Hey everyone can i ask whether HTC LEGEND is able to hang like hp strap or hp keychains or something?cos i see there is 2 very small holes beside the usb connector so i was wondering whether it will be able to hang anything there?

i think its possible, go try it and let us know LOL.. i wanna try it too but im afraid that when i hang the strap, the only thing that is supporting the strap is the battery cover, then later when im holding, the battery cover slip and phone drop

The weather right its automatically update one? or need those data plan? Cos i told the singtel guy to cancel my plan. then i cant go internet unless i use wi-fi. but now my wifi is off and i still receive the weather thingy. is this like free?

i already told that guy to cancel my dataplan cos im afraid i go into the internet and 1mb is $5(wtf?). then its canceled now, and showing me the weather. so this is advance forecast right?

Yes, u can hang stuff there. I've got the android accessory on it. It's not supported by the battery casing, it's something inside that holds it in the eyelet. To attach it there, I opened the battery casing first and attached it before replacing the cover.

the HTC weather widget uses internet/data plan to get updated weather info. to disable auto update, you have to go to the settings to disable it.

Canceling your data plan doesn't keep your phone safe from surfing using GPRS.. it'll just be surfing without any price plans and may result in a significant amount if you "accidentally" use the GRPS..

HTC Legend basically have a lot of apps that utilize data plan.. To ensure you won't connect to any GPRS/3G data, you have to do some settings with the phone and make sure it doesn't connect automatically to any mobile data networks..

For instance, go to Settings>Wireless & networks, uncheck Mobile Network, and under Mobile network settings, go to Network Mode and select GSM only. Selecting GSM only will also help you save your battery life.

Oh, and for the software update, it's an official Firmware released by HTC, no info have been released for what it fix.. Just updated will do.. Remember to use wifi to download as you do not have a data plan though

okay thanks for everything, but mind telling me what's GSM and WCDMA(auto or non-auto). and i just checked GSM, so for sure 100% i wont be using non-wifi internet right?
