Get your recontract done under your Mom's name, then do a transfer of ownership for $20 later on.

cannot recontract NSF plan or anything under my mom's name because i'm above 21.

i just got off the phone with the CSO. quite irritated to be honest, told him my plight and all he could say was, "sorry sir we cannot do anything about it." i nearly raised my voice and argued my way through until he said "okay sir, we'll look into the matter and see if we can transfer the voucher. no promises but we'll give u an answer in 3 working days"

wtf? so now what.. wait again. :(

If they do let you transfer, it's out of goodwill. Do realize that you are making an unreasonable demand on them as the voucher isn't meant for you in the first place.

Want fast, want NSF plan, want voucher.....not everything goes according to your whims.

Yes...I have come to realize that these days, most people expect the universe to revolve around them.

But to be fair, not just young ones. Most people.

Didn't notice any of the aforementioned problems on mine, yay for me!

you mean your google map street view compass mode is ok? I was told by HTC engineers that it was meant to be this way (when point up, it will show downward when in landscape mode)

Guys! Need help with the in-bulit Google Map!

Using it with both GPS and WIFI -> everything's fine
Using it with only GPS -> still can locate and blue dot moves when im in the car, BUT only a portion of the map is displayed, and no matter how i navigate, the rest of the map remains grey even when the blue dot is moving in the grey area)

any idea how to solve this issue so that full map is displayed even when there is no internet connection?

Alternatively, any other map apps to intro?

any can help?

you need internet connection to get the map loaded. GPS can work without data plan, but you can only see the blue dot or arrow head but not the map.

try loading the map before you go on the road, meaning if you know where you wanna go, manually scroll the map to your desired location, but do not off your google map apps, i have tried it before, but only for a 15min walking distant. so it may not work if you are travelling a long distant. hope it helps.

I understand, but you're getting angry over them when it's obviously your own problem. They don't care whether $100 is big deal to you, that u pay for your own bills/handsets without allowances. People would tell you, why the hell are you getting such a phone if you can't afford it? :)

Again, you must understand, you are not the telco's only customer. They don't have the obligation to bend their rules just because of your limitations.

Imagine I take my friend's car keys, then I drive the car away and claim that it's mine, attempt to sell it. It's a similar analogy to you trying to pass off your mum's voucher as your own. The telco by right shouldn't let you use the voucher at all, so if in the end they do, it's out of goodwill, not because you deserve it.

Do hope you get it though, I was also a poor student once, just not as unreasonable as you. :D
