CyanogenMod (CM) 6 is developed based on Android 2.2 "Froyo".

Azure is just a 'codename' for stable porting of CyanogenMod 6 into HTC Legend (exclusively for Legend). Other developers also ported CyanogenMod 6 into many other devices, I believe their naming will not be Azure.

Nightly is as what bro foosoomin has explained.

So don't mixed up between CM6 and Azure or Nightly builds, I think they are same but different :p

Reply to fatthumb,

Before i go to sleep, i share with you one thing

After you flash Cyan 6 Nightly Build V25, you can consider install an apps call drocap2. This is an apps for rooted device, which enable you to take snapshot of your phone screen

Example after you run Quadrant Benchmark, the result will display on your screen. Then you can use this drocap2 to snapshot it, then maybe can post here

Poison too deep, I have backup my apps with titanium backup and wipe + flash the nightly build 25.

Really amazing ROM, my quadrant standard score with Azure was 430+ jump over to 841 with this new nightly build! The best is like what you said, booting time was very fast, not mentioning my Legend is not-overclock friendly material (standard CPU speed of 600 MHz) :s13: The sacrificial 30 min of sleeping time was worth it! :s12:

I knew about drocap2 (in my Appbrain recommended apps list) but consider it to be not very useful, so let's skip that for now :D

2nd impression on Nightly Build V25

fatthumb said:
Yup, so far looks like nightly build 25 is leading the race :s13:

Brother,

on "Notification" panel, you'll see 4 added icons, which is Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS & Sound

Wa, that threadstarter is beginning to modify the ROM like the new version of HTC Sense UI already.....

We shall wait for further improvement on this ROM

So far how's your finding ?

Yup, I also notice that. But not very useful for me though =:p

I find that my Legend is really not overclock friendly material, even with this ROM. Probably not kernel compatibility problem, more like I got lousy CPU which can barely tahan (pass the QC) 600 MHz :s13:

Btw do you have setcpu installed to control other settings or just purely the flashed the kernel and run benchmark?

Too bad your CPU cannot withstand overclocking

No, i did not install overclock widget (SetCPU app) to control other setting, i just purely use the overclock kernel & then run the Quadrant Benchmark to obtain the result

Titanium Backup (root only)

With titanium backup, practically you can back up everything. The software also has other function such as uninstalling system apps (i.e. Amazon MP3 which included with custom ROM, potentially can be dangerous if you uninstall wrongly/essential system apps).

I use it to backup all installed apps + the apps data (i.e. angry birds + game data, etc). So when I wipe and flash different ROM, all I need to do is to install back the Titanium Backup Donate (only donate version able to restore the backup apps data, free version only allow restore of apps and system data) and then do a batch restore for all apps that I back up earlier on. Save a lot of time and finger tiredness from clicking and installing those apps 1 by 1 ;)

Btw bro, the keyboard link you provided earlier is not working. I have tried the hi-res Froyo version (both v25 and v27 from original xda forum thread).

Brother,

I did not encounter any problem on Cyan 6 Nightly Build V25 ROM as well

But instead, the ROM is much faster than the previous V8 ROM that i used
