I installed SetCPU, but never set anything funny. I don't think it's software problem, maybe just limitation of my Legend CPU. There are few other guys in XDA dev forum which have same experience like me. Normally it will run smoothly for a while and when the temperature goes up or when you run "heavy duty" software, it will go "haywire" aka boot loop :D:D:D

I suggest you install overclock kernel again, don't install SetCPU & try it on your phone again

From my understanding, the overclock kernel has all the settings inside, you do not need additional overclocking apps

I tell you my scenario, my phone does heat up very fast & it really gets very warm. This is common.........Also, since i have already overclocked my CPU, i'm prepared my CPU & battery to be short lived

A) Yesterday evening i had a dinner with my "reliable source", that the CPU in Legend can be overclock till 1Ghz. However, till now nobody has created that "higher than 844Mhz" kernel yet

B) To enable S-OFF in our OS, my "reliable source" also told me hackers need a special SIM Card to hack the OS

Regarding this one, it is better if you don't ask them in the XDA forum. They have stated many times that "bug" related to apps will not be entertained (It can be bugs from Whatsapp too). Careful bro later they (those nerds) kick you out ;)

I'm so used to "gena" bashed, insulted, scolded & being framed in forum.

What's the big deal man, on my this information sharing on xda forum...
But, at least i have informed that threadstarter my finding

If you read Nightly Build thread carefully, that threadstarter also said he will not entertained further request on ROM improvement, in the end he still develop newly amended ROM for download

We shall see on what's he's reply is

Dun say lazy, actually the process of flashing, restoring, backing up, recovery are considered very fast already
I myself already tried so many rom's already, it's good to try out though

I have tried it out, 768 MHz kernel managed to get a score of 1095. It's very good but my phone become unstable. I believe heat is the main problem here, if my phone initially was quite warm already, don't talk about completing the benchmark :s13:

So.... here am I back down to 600 MHz =:p

you guys have flash on your rooted legend? i just flash back to nightly build 26, coz i realise previously i had the unstable 783mhz with build 26, thats why its unstable for me. now that the nightly build 26 gives me 1k+ benchmark score, think i will just use nightly 26.

Hi bro, I assume you get 1k+ score with overclock to 768 MHz rite? Since from your post it was not very clear =:p

I tried Spanish ROM with 807Mhz speed, the benchmark result was about 850

Now i'm at Nightly Build V26, my benchmark result is close to 1200

So in overall, i still prefer Nightly Build performance

Since you like HTC Sense UI, i suggest you wait for developers at xda to port Desire HD & Z Sense UI over to Legend

btw, are u running constantly at 807mhz? how long can your battery last? how hot is your legend running at that speed? u tempt me to use 807mhz too. lol. but im not ready to buy a new phone. lol

huh? u mean they really porting the desire hd & z stuff over to legend? meaning we will get the htcsense.com stuff and the fast cold boot etc?

I don't think so bro, most probably only some features may be incorporated to the custom ROMs.

But of course I also hope that the developers will keep updating their ROMs with interesting stuff, so I won't get bored so easily with Legend and burn another hole in my pocket before 20 months of usage =:p:s13:

No, not constant 807Mhz. My CPU running speed is as follow, obtained from my phone folder /sys/acpuclk_tbl.....245760, 400000, 600000, 806400 respectively. I just know it switches with different clock speed, like on standby mode, active mode etc etc etc...

My usage (Based on individual usage) can last me 1 day.

How hot ? Well, i can say if run at full speed, it will be very warm, just like any other Legends....

Actually no need to buy new phone, temporary stick to legend first before considering buying higher end models

I DON'T mean really, but in GSMarena webpage already stated got people ported Desire HD full ROM onto Desire.....Just wait a while more, sure got hackers port the new Sense UI onto our mid range phones (Provided HTC manufacture mid range phone with same screen resolution as Legend)
