Apple can remove it proudly coz they are Apple. They are the king of the smart phone industry unlike HTC. U can look for another brand instead coz I think HTC will not add back 3.5mm jack any time soon for their flagship products.

HTC should focus on their products and listen to what the customer wants. HTC should also improve on their marketing even they are running on budget else no one knows their products no matter how good the products are.
Still considering can live with dongle or not

We won't know how the sound will be till its out here, but then in the Head fi Forum there's already some people review it to be good.
Oh well here comes the 3.5mm Guardians
? The additional functions to detect all the ear canal stuff cfm works only with the stock earphones.

Edit: i do think usb c is the future but it would be with usb c to 2pin/mcmx cables for detachable cables and hopefully 2 ports. I can probably live with 1 port but not with dongle

Haha, everyone playing the great memory lottery. At least you womt get emmc :s13:

article that mentioned about the memory issue

Here's the text

HTC says it's using UFS NAND, although due to supply issues it's unwilling to state categorically if it will be UFS 2.0 or UFS 2.1 at this time. In that instance, it’s best to expect UFS 2.0 and consider it a plus if you get UFS 2.1.

seems like several phone makers "gah gah" take gamble on this flash memory matter into their own hands.

It's a huge risk towards themselve & to the future U11 users.

Anandtech just assume ufs means mix use of chips when HTC already announced they are using UFS2.1 worldwide.

HTC U11 REVIEW: AN ACTUAL RIVAL TO THE GALAXY S8

From https://www.androidpit.com/htc-u11-review

At present, the HTC U11 is the best available alternative to the Galaxy S8; it has better performance, spectacular audio quality and a fantastic camera. In terms of battery performance, it is strong but it doesn't really stand out from other premium-range smartphones. That said, it's certainly a smartphone to keep in mind.

The downsides of HTC U11 are ones which most of us will be able to forgive quite easily. If design features aren't are major game changer for you, I think you'd struggle to find a smartphone with better features and functionality than the HTC U11.
