U11 street pice shd be ard 835+/-15.
The new color would appeal to more people...bu it might not thrill most user.
A bit more would b able to get 1+5...(128G + 8GB ram,less powerful camera....)

My "fever" for U11 has lower
Need something more

I have played around with the phone long enough to tell you that the U11 even with many apps running in the background has more than 2GB RAM left. This is not a Samsung unlike my S7 Edge where you go down to 900MB with many apps open and things start to get wonky. Plus, the U11 is as lightweight as it can get. The OnePlus also is pretty lightweight but 8GB of RAM on that is not gonna improve anything. At least not for the average user. Not to mention you have no warranty whatsoever rather a tedious process for the OnePlus when claiming warranty. The U11 is probably the best phone now with a great camera and fast interface. Comparing even the photos with my previous S7 Edge, the U11 shoots way more natural photos and looks absolutely brilliant.

I don't see why 1+5 is a better buy than U11 to be honest. 8gb but no practical advantage, no ip67/68 water proofing, camera also not that great so I think mi6 or even the op3t is more bang for buck. The strongest feature of the U11 is the camera and the almost stock Android skin

EXACTLY. :D

But you see, the OnePlus 5 only has that power during benchmarking. What's the point of your pure processing power when both are using the 835?

IP67/68 is simply another accident protection measure. I used to think it isn't important until I had water damage on my previous HTC 10. You don't often spill drinks, but that one time you do, it may spoil.

Set aside the cheating scandal. It's still a good phone if want stock Android feels beside a Pixel or Essential.

Exactly, that's why I said that OnePlus 5 only has that power during benchmarking.

OnePlus says otherwise if you're following up on that scandal.

Anyway, this thread is about HTC U11.

I'm still waiting for ppl to post screenshots of their battery life on the U11.

I see some posts but these either do not have screenshots of the screen on time or screenshots of the app usage...

HTC U11 Made in Taiwan vs most others Made in China.
Which one you prefer?

Except for LG which is Made in Korea usually.

To me it matters.

Everyone has their own opinion and that's fine. If it doesn't matter to you, that's fine.

If it does, that's fine too. Cheers!

read this:
http://c.mi.com/thread-219657-1-0.html

A properly design device will only take what it need and not more, in this case Mi6 only use 1.75A@9V = ~15W. any of your mentioned cable will work. infact, its lower than QC3.0 which can do 2A@9V ~18W. if you use try to use this cable on power hungry device like laptop, prepare to see funny thing happen. actually these devices that request way over 20W are using their own USB-PD certified cable, not the ordinary USB-C cable which are rated 3A@5V.

USB 3.0 had been around for nearly 9 years now and yet majority of mobile phone still connecting on USB2.0, even Samsung just make it available on S8. also, those cable that got certified by Benson and the tronsmart cable you recommended aren't USB PD certified, just 3A@5V. so I don't see how other brands are inferior when they can do 1.75A@12V or 2A@9V or 18W than ordinary USB-C's 15W.

What I'm trying to say is cables that didn't pass Benson test don't make them lesser product, they just doesn't adhere to USB-C spec 100% but they do work, on QC standard.

Ok learnt something new and points noted. Thanks for sharing

Hi all,

I bought a Brilliant Black model. The phone seems fine and all but there seems to be a bug with the software I believe.

I am listening to music with earphones (no mic) and I am in Vibration mode (Not silent mode) when an incoming call comes in the music does not pause. The phone does vibrate however. I would only know a call is actually coming in if i look at the screen. Obviously once I pick up the call the music pauses so I can speak to the person on the line.

If I am in the normal mode, the music does pause when an incoming call comes in.

I had checked my other android phones and all of them will pause when an incoming call is in regardless of the mode. This is quite annoying as I had missed a couple of calls because the music did not paused when the call is coming and I didn't feel the Vibration.

Can someone help me out by testing to see if its the same ?

I did a factory reset and it was still the same...

Thanks in advance !

We are having a very old software and it does have quite a fair bit of bugs. Sometimes I have notification badges stuck and Google Playstore taking so long to install apps.

I hope HTC releases software for our region soon. We are honestly sitting on the very first retail software whole others have already gotten the second or third revision already.
