So if I have 8 pax, the best would be for us to fly to BKK, rent a car there, and drive around ourselves around Huahin. How easy is it to drive around Huahin? The road conditions, drivers, etc.

Any hotels to recommend that has rooms for 4 pax and up?

Traffic there is not as jialat as bkk, so you don't have to worry. Hotel is best to look up on agoda.

I don't know about suwannabhumi, I only drop off at DMK. Dmk basement got one shuttle bus going to huahin. Convenient.

Very easy to drive around Huahin. You have to watch out for other people's reckless driving though, from drunks, yaba addicts, to speeding youths on death wish. Even on provincial roads.

Actually the drivers are a lot safer in Malaysia.
There is no one place to be staying. Huahin is quite spread out.

I don't think they really have a chinatown there so probably not much difference.

I don't think you want to waste time walking from end to end. It's still quite big and got many places in Hua hin. If you talk about just in the so called town area (night market area), I think still can walk? But if going to other places then u probably need to take some sort of transport.
