still waiting for starhub to come out with the promo bundle on mate 10 pro.

All my Android phones are custom rom. Umm lineageOS basically. Think my S2 on AICP, thinking of flashing the broken LOS 15 just for lolz.

Back to topic, heard Huawei removed a website hosting official rom so have to search for full file now. And Huawei custom rom support quite bad, even Xiaomi better.

I’m still getting Mate 10(decided last year when StarHub ran out of silver Mate 9 during their $150 off promo) just not sure Pro or not. If $298 is on contract for 60+ tier for pro and review say pro way better battery(ie 30% better), maybe I’ll lean towards pro.

Ya Huawei custom roms are non-existent. I think can root good enough already , can at least uninstall some crap that you don't need and install ad blockers. Not sure if can even tweak the CPU freq or not cos it's a diff chipset.

Nothing to do with Kirin but Android Oreo is still new, the developer need to update their app to support it

Percentage wise yes, but if 10 last 5 hours and pro 6 hours with same workload, that’s already a 20% improvement.
Maybe first time try stock in a long time. If custom rom, think Sony and OnePlus best bet liao.

nope just flicked the side of the screen but it keeps coming up with the google assistant.

Edit: nvm figured it out, under navigation in settings.

Haha..just came back from best denki with the Mate 10.

But they wouldn't extend the pre order gifts to me as they said it's walk in sales.

The camera so far seems quite nice. The selfies appear sharp too.

But I couldn't find cases or TGPs anywhere though....not at Sim Lim

but inside the box should have a case already. translucent jelly case by Huawei itself. I think it's good enough actually... unless u want to find from amazon.

I always use UAG and Spigen tough cases. I think that case in the box is a little too flimsy. Uag made cases for the Mate 9 and P10. But not for the Mate 10. Looks like I'll have to get Spigen instead.

The case l usually buy from Aliexpress, l use the Nillkin frosted hard case.

Some games like CoC is says it's not supported but I had this issue on my s7e also on recent updates.. dunno what's going on but was able to side load it.


Battery life is pretty decent but I think will take a few cycles to get more accurate SoT
