U having the same issue too? And also, for certain apps the brightness wil auto dim despite me disabling auto brightness. I also disabled power saving mode and using WQHD display.. Called huawei and they say its not supposed to be like this lol.

Are u using smart resolution? Try disable that and see if it helps

Tbh IMO. I feel that the space for the fingerprint sensor on the mate10 abit too tight. I understand that huawei mentioned this is an engineering feat or something in their keynote but not for me. If u have compared the phone size between both models. I feel that mate10 abit too wide and the pro is nice for me. My wife thinks that the non pro is abit wide too. Well I use a dap for music so the 3.5mm exclusion is ok for me. I like amoled display also. All are my 2c. Cheers.

It's due to 16:9 aspect ratio for a 5.9" screen while the pro has 6" 18:9 ratio so makes pro slightly narrower but longer. People are more used to the 16:9 ratio for better viewing becos 18:9 is still quite new but ergonomically, 18:9 is easier to hold but the corners also seem harder to reach even when you are gripping the phone with 2 hands. If you want big screen, that's just the caveat that you have to live with I guess.

Haven't noticed this issue yet, will keep a lookout but I using FHD only.

Ya.

On the other hand, the almost "unseen" bezels on the Mate 10 is better than sex sia.... I immediately fall in love with it in term of the handset design.

It makes the super flat screen so beautiful and it is definitely better than those curved display design that is trying to make it looks bezelless with curved sides and edges, and causes screen reflection to the eyes. Yucks.

Hey there, I just checked and its already disabled.

Also just saw ur reply about tbe transfer of sd card data. Basically, its like me plugging two phones into my laptop, my s7 and mate 10 (both have their sd cards inside). When i tried to move the stuffs (music, pictures) in the s7's sd card to my mate 10, it just refuses to move. There isnt any error pop up, just the error sound. But moving any other stuff from other storage locations (my hdd, thumbdrive etc.) to my mate 10 works perfectly. So i suspect it might be my s7 trying to be funny..

Yes, u copy the whole folder structure to the internal storage of the phone, it should work. However, do note p9 or mate 9 is running android 7 while mate 10 is running android 8 so it's quite possible some things may not be able to transfer properly. So bear in mind if things doesn't work like it should, u probably should clear it's data and start fresh

It's not stable to transfer between phones like that. Usually copy data to your laptop first, then from laptop to your phone is the preferred way. Also copy and move are very different operations altogether. Copy is straight forward but move means copy followed by a delete from source (2 operations instead of 1). Depending on the mode, you may not be able to delete

I just had a look at the Mate 10 and pro in the service center.
Huawei followed Samsung and Apple raising the prices.
A mate 8, then mate 9, and became Mate 10 "Pro", from $888 to $1088.
The mate 10 Pro is the actual evolution of Mate 8 and 9 to me. The regular mate 10 is a downgraded version of the evolution, and is sold at $888.

I use mate 8 and mate 9. mate 10 will still be a good phone.
The price hike is bad, still more affordable than samsung and apple.
The metal body design should have been maintained. it is what makes it unique and different from the rest of dozens of phones, and feels better.
