I went thru more than 50 pages, I read that Facebook can be uninstall? Mine only allows it to be restored to factory status, everyone else same?

I got other bloatware like booking.com, CNN, etc which I can't uninstall.

i can uninstall all of them. suggest you go under settings > apps and notifications > apps and uninstall from there

Anyone use SingTel mate 10 with latest firmware? I asked huawei fb and they say rolling out phase by phase...

I'm on Singtel with Mate 10 Pro. BLA-L29 8.0.0.119 (C636). I have not received any official OTA updates yet although I think latest firmware approved for my phone should be 8.0.0.128. Anyone else in a different situation?

Hmm not sure about this because for my case it works this way, I just need to enter the app password instead of my actual password to connect my Gmail.

Maybe you should contact Huawei support

Ya, trying to contact them already.

I realised that even though the prompt mentioned restore to factory default when trying to uninstall, i it still got removed from the phone.

Nope cant uninstall that. Dont understand why lol

You cannot uninstall system apps. You can only disable them. Also not all apps can be disabled via the Settings->Apps route. To disable those, you can use PDP or do it the harder way via ADB commands (one at a time which is tedious hence I suggest use PDP)

Got this off firmware finder for M10P

Steps to upgrade:
1) download firmware finder from play store
2) search for the firmware (see pic below for the firmware version)
3) click check firmware access to make sure the firmware can be upgraded
4) click get an update thru DNS (beta) and click register update, after that click copy DNS
4) go-to your WiFi setting and long press on your router choose modify Network
5) check on advance option, go down to DNS and change it using paste since you have copied it before (remember your previous DNS becos you want to change it back after you get the update)
6) go to system update and check for update.. bingo!

not sure which setting did i do wrongly.

change DNS address 1 to the one provided by firmware finder but then no internet connection after that

DNS address 2 should be empty or same as DNS address 1?

edit: works now because i didnt enable a permission for firmware finder regarding VPN

There are quite a few for FB. The FB installer, the FB App manager (these 2 system apps can disable only), the FB app itself and messenger (these 2 can uninstall)

Just DNS 1 becos that's the primary. After you get the update prompt from system update (do a check for update), you can change DNS back to ur default one to download the update
