Hi, just got my mate 10 pro. Still exploring but would appreciate gurus here can teach me on the following:

1. Lift up phone for time viewing (so straight away can see the screen..without using fingerprint)
2. when phone laid flat on table, any way to view the time? (previously my g4 is double tap to on screen)
3. lock and hide certain folder
4. lock and hide certain app
5. disable popup notification for messaging app
6. put widget on home screen (calendar, tasklist, music etc.)
7. continue playing music when click to close all app

hehe. really appreciated it =))

meanwhile, any recommendation for nice case and screen protector that are dust and fingerprint resistant?

thanks~

For 1, dont think can be done unless u buy the casing with the cover that auto turns on the screen when u flip it open

For 2, there's a setting where it displays the clock permanently on. it's very hidden in 1 of the settings, can't rem which.

For 5, u just press and hold the notification when u pull down the notification shade, there should be an option to turn all notifications off for that app

For 6, zhun boh? widget also duno how to put? u first time smartphone user or came from iOS is it?

For 7, u can lock an app in the Recents page by clicking on the padlock icon. Locking it means it won't be killed or put to sleep when u Clear All.

I think closest solution for 3 and 4 are the settings under "security and privacy". Maybe you can give it a try?

app lock using fingerprint is good. the photos / document lock is not as convenient as lg.

any 3rd party app to intro?

and iirc, previously there's a talk on how to enable double tap function (either 3rd party app or built in). can teach / sic?

annnndd...is there a feature where lift up the phone to on screen? instead of always on

I think u can try to google/youtube first next time. Some of us might not be able to answer as we might not have used those things you mentioned before

Huawei is different from LG so some functions you might not find them on huawei phones

No need to sorry la. But what i feel is when buying a phone, you should have try to find out what are the features and functions of the phone (by googling and playing with the display sets) to see if the phone has the features you need

Those questions you ask i feel that you are asking alot from the phone which i believe some phones might contain a few features you are asking for but not all of it. So before buying, i will usually suggest molesting the display sets to find out what the phone offers first before buying

im in .131. still same. not that it bother me though.

but i notice on some apps (whatsapp, facebook), even without auto brightness on, it will auto dim also.

btw, is there ANY....ANY feature / gesture to wake into lockscreen without pressing the side button?

No way to wake screen without pressing side button. Only way is you unlock with your fingerprint

u can try using those apps that use the proximity sensor to wake the phone up. i haven't used those in years but if u have your proximity sensor on all the time, confirm batt life will suffer, might even burn the sensor out in the long run

So the SingTel wifi issue is really a thing?

Using WiFi is painfully slow at times, sometimes it works well sometimes it's damn slow, iPhone no problem at all.

But 4G data is ok.
