Hi peeps just got my mate 10 and applied a tempered glass but it seems that the both vertical side is"lifted" and not able to cover all despite how much I press it in.. Is it normal? Should I just go naked if I take care it very carefully? Thanks!

I feel you should just leave it be. No point wasting money to by the TG, then remove it. The sides are only obvious when the screen is off anyway.

P20 pro is like s9 plus from Samsung.... Also flagship I think

The Mate series is supposed to be the flagship as it should come with the SOC refresh. For example, this years Mate 20 Pro is expected to come with Kirin 980 and the triple camera setup on the P20 Pro.

Mate is supposedly the flagship IIRC, not P.

P is for consumer with camera as the main focus.

Mate is the one where they introduce new SOC.

Based on the timing of its release, it is almost like the equivalent of the Note. However if you based it on the year in which it is released, the Mate series will be the flagship for sure. The correct comparison is P10 vs Mate 10 for example.

I got my tempered glass from 第一卫 for Mate 10, coverage seems quite good.

Problems synchronising with Samsung Health

Not too sure if this was brought up before, but can I know if the Samsung Health app can still work on a Huawei Mate 10 phone? Reason being, I have always used the app to clock steps for the Healthy 365 programme as I didn't really want to specially buy a fitness tracker for it ... but when I downloaded the Samsung Health app on the Mate 10, it doesn't read my walking steps anymore, and can't sync with the Healther 365 app either.

It's a tricky app.... Basically Samsung app health does not work on mate 10.

Google fit somehow is working ....

So I purchased Health Sync app, to sync the steps to Samsung health. It will create a tracker called "Health Sync", just like if you connect any fitness tracker band to Samsung Health.

Then update the health 365 app to read from "Health sync" tracker instead of phone.

This is how I got my steps back...

I hope that this flagship debate is not because I replied previously based on the following comment. :)

Imho
Always tempted to change new phones. The frequencies were like less than 6 months. But don't have such urge after m10 pro.
Mate is Huawei flagship. So I don't appreciate the pricing of P20 pro at this level. Seems a rip off

I am only stating that p series is also flagship from Huawei, which I think Huawei had 2 flagship lines, just like Samsung has S series and Note series.

I don't think that Huawei only has 1 flagship line. But that is my opinion only.

I feel the Mate and P series are high end phones from HUAWEI. But just wanted to clarify why Mate is the flagship. The flag ship gets the newest SOC and OS at launch. And whatever is on the P series at the start of the year, they generally gets ported or improved to the Mate series towards the end of the year.

By saying Mate is the flagship model, doesn't mean that P20 less of a phone than Mate.

It's just that Mate series is the known flagship model that will be introduction the bigger internal development, namely SOC and probably timing with new Android version.

P series pushes in another segment following on the framework of Mate, in this case of P20 a huge improvement in camera.

But unlike Apple, most manufacturers now go for 2 models a year to break up two halfs instead.

Just received the OTA for 132 on my Mate non Pro.

Don't think there's gonna be any major differences cause it's only security updates pretty much.
