So i did an exchange today. To those going to do exchange please bear in mind that it is not u give them old phone they give u new phone within 5 mins settle everything kinda job.

U go press Q no. And wait till your number is being called. Then the staff attends to u and take in your old set and ask the backend side to transfer warranty. This takes 30mins to an hour.
They compensate with a powerbank. U can keep your old accessories.

Despite being told that this is the new batch but after checking the batch using the HW device info app. I had 2 outcomes. First pic before EMUI update. Second pic is after update. Still LG screen and the supposedly 43 or 51 batch

Hi, just checked with Singtel, still no stock. anyone know when stock coming in?

If you are going to get from Singtel, just place order for the one you like and they will notify you when stocks are in.. saving the trouble to keep checking and asking where nobody can tell you except Singtel themselves (or someone working there).. haha

This was what I did. Place order and wait... when it's available, just collect...

Hi All.. I just bought my Mate 20 Pro 2 weeks ago.. Was comparing with Google Pixel 3 XL but decided this due to hardware specs..

I found that there's several bugs in the phone which i am not sure if it is my problem or you guys face it as well..

1: Apps that are not default with the phone will not be able to show it's notification on the Always On Display. For example, outlook, whatsapp.

2: Whatsapp notification came in, i didnt click.. 30s or 1-2 mins the same notification will ring again.. Normal?

3: Whatsapp when you click in from notification, sometimes it auto scrolls UP to few lines before.. Not sure why.. You have to manually scroll down to read latest message..

4: Fingerprint sensor not very responsive. Re-do twice but still got issue unlocking using finger.. Didnt have that issue with previous phones.. So quite sure is not thumbprint or dry skin or fingerprints issues..

5: Notification icons at the top bar.. Sometimes it shows but sometimes it doesnt. Example wife can whatsapp me now, i unlock and i can see the whatsapp icon at the top. Sometimes i got unread message but it doesnt appear at the top. (All notification setting at default)

Are all these huawei software bug and limitation? I am on latest software already.

I do not have the issue with whatsapp as the message and notification shows on lock screen. Maybe due to my settings. And also I have chosen some of the messages I can reply immediately

For the fingerprint scanner.. not much of an issue after I got used to it.. as a magger of fact, the face recognition kicks in too fast that nowadays I don't even need scanner, except payment apps...

notification on top bar comes with the phone feature: that is that camera/3D scanner module, resulting in space taken off from the top bar.... there have been a few reviewers mentioning this... it's either users like it or annoyed by it....

Hi all, attach herewith are some photos of comparison side-by-side of telco display set (left) vs my phone (right).

Same device, same screen panel, same display setting, and under same lighting condition but color tints are different and mine has green screen discolouration.

If you put a number of phones of the same model side by side, this is what you will see anyway... same goes for Iphones.... can be easily calibrated

When you set to eye comfort, isn't it similar to the green tint that most of them experience?

Guess its due to my camera which I'm using. My eyes can't spot the green tint unlike my previous LG batch. Yes I gotten the BOE as replacement today. Actually I'm not too anal about the green tint but just that my previous screen was scratched so might as well change a new one

So far no problem. Hopefully no problem at all. My previous set the green tint happened only after 1 week

Yes. But that telco display/demo set (left) has been up one week before launch and I believe it has been on for many hours a day if not 24/7 and it must have been handled by customers day-in day-out and yet till a couple of days ago when i go take a look its screen is still pristine with no green discolouration unlike my device (right) which has developed the green discolouration.

Seems that the more I take care of a device the less it gives in return.

Got a UV TGSP from sim lim $38 (GW mobile, #05-60). With black borders but fits my UAG plasma case. So far so good!

Enrolled my fingerprints after application. so far it works like normal. (the typical hit/miss, but overall it works)

Got a camera protector sticker from mobile hardware $5. It's a semi thin/thick of black sticker(could be wrong). But looks thick enough to withstand a scratch hahah.

How can the uv glue type of glass have black borders? U see wrongly.

i am using mate 20 spigen casing. great for protection at the cons of making it fatter.

at that pricing, can't be sure if it's genuine

How bad is green bleed consider bad? Mine is only visible at night, using outside, low light evening time also can see.

Just quite annoying to see green using Spotify at outside at night as background is grey. And sometime wallpaper is dark, can see if I use phone before sleep, or just when I wake up.

Mate 20 as in the non pro version? No reported issues. Maybe because not many people bought? I am current using one though, no issues at all.
