Any issues with your replacement set so far? Wonder if they will allow a second exchange if the replacement has issues...

So far OK the exchange unit.. However still LG batch 51 although they said its a new batch. Now I doubt what 51 means actually.

I will monitor the screen and see how it develops the coming days. I just did a quick check but so far no green color showing.

Hi All.. I just bought my Mate 20 Pro 2 weeks ago.. Was comparing with Google Pixel 3 XL but decided this due to hardware specs..

I found that there's several bugs in the phone which i am not sure if it is my problem or you guys face it as well..

1: Apps that are not default with the phone will not be able to show it's notification on the Always On Display. For example, outlook, whatsapp.

2: Whatsapp notification came in, i didnt click.. 30s or 1-2 mins the same notification will ring again.. Normal?

3: Whatsapp when you click in from notification, sometimes it auto scrolls UP to few lines before.. Not sure why.. You have to manually scroll down to read latest message..

4: Fingerprint sensor not very responsive. Re-do twice but still got issue unlocking using finger.. Didnt have that issue with previous phones.. So quite sure is not thumbprint or dry skin or fingerprints issues..

5: Notification icons at the top bar.. Sometimes it shows but sometimes it doesnt. Example wife can whatsapp me now, i unlock and i can see the whatsapp icon at the top. Sometimes i got unread message but it doesnt appear at the top. (All notification setting at default)

Are all these huawei software bug and limitation? I am on latest software already.

the fingerprint sensor is like that, because its in screen. You can search it up on youtube or google, everybody got the same issue.

Mine is green. The cso told me only left black n green.

Using the built in screen test via the device info HW app

I can see the difference with my previous LG screen with slight greenish at the sides

yours is BOE screen?

Guess its due to my camera which I'm using. My eyes can't spot the green tint unlike my previous LG batch. Yes I gotten the BOE as replacement today. Actually I'm not too anal about the green tint but just that my previous screen was scratched so might as well change a new one

Check for firmware update. After update, see if the 'batch' number changes to 51.

Seems like there is still no trend in the replacement set. Can be BOE and LG. Really depends on luck.

To be honest no point changing unless the green tint is darn bad or your set has some problem like me (accidentally scratched the screen) then u can try your luck to get a new set provided the green tint is present. Mine was only very slight green tint. Not too sure if the guy did a very thorough test or just exchanged without testing cos he took less than 5 mins and decided I'm eligible for exchange
