ok i removed tgsp.

after i remove i realize the tgsp has certain color...it's kinda yellowish/grayish. the light passing through could be 80% only. maybe that's the reason fp doesnt work all the time. however, optically, i dont observe any distortions if i look through it.

edit: i realized touch sensitivity has greatly improved too, without tgsp. also the display quality improved also. for some time i feel my eyes hard to focus on small fonts. i thought was due to my new spectacle but now problem disappeared.

suddenly got an urge to remove the glass screen protector. anyone is like me? mine is nicely pasted but the added weight, ugly edges, hit-and-miss fp scan DO bother me...

i understand its grorilla 5 which has mohs hardness about 6. the quartz particles in beach sands and dusts would have hardness of 7. i guess i will need to stay away from that.

another motivation is seems the price of mate 20p is dropping..that makes it less precious...

hi all, i got my unit about a week ago, and it comes with BOE screen. However, I started realising that the green edges are starting to appear and seem quite obvious against the white background. It is not so obvious under other colours (even black). Did anyone experience this recently? Thinking of sending mine back.

I doubt it is gluegate.
That is just the con of curved screen.
Try tilt around and check.

This phone keep closing my games when i switch apps or off screen for a few minutes damn sian.

I already turned off battery optimization for the apps and set to manually manage.

Last time my mate 9 I could lock the app so it wouldn't be closed but now this mate 20 pro cannot.

Item arrived yesterday. Comes with suction arm and aircon vent clip, so either can be used.

Quality is so-so, but indeed it's wide enough. Suction pad doesn't seem to be normal rubber, but has a sticky coating on it, so I decided not to use that, in case it leaves an ugly mark. Fixed to the aircon vent instead.

Anyone tried the Fyuse 3D panorama mode? After taking a picture, you go to Gallery and click the 3D button, and lines and dots appear while the app is trying to render, but it stops there, no matter how many times you try.

I downloaded the actual Fyuse app and took a 3D shot, after the rendering with lines and dots, the rendered photo can be viewed and tilted. And it only needs to be rendered once.

I'm worried about using the aircon vent to hold the phone, it's quite heavy.

DxOMark results out, same as P20 pro at 109.

interestingly while photo score remained the same, video score lower than p20p. but m20p still no 1.

The inclusion of the wide angle which double up as macro lens as it can focus very near far far greatly exceed p20 pro's monochrome capability.

The dxo score is only for photo quality but photo taking is much more than the photo quality but overall usability and mate20 can take wider photos and macroshots compared to p20 pro which both cannot do makes p20 pro loses alot .
