My 4.5 years old Huawei mate 20 pro kept restarting abruptly since last night, even went into emergency back up mode.. Is it my phone reaching end of lifespan soon.

Died by random rebooting last year.

Redmi K50 Ultra.

Too expensive to repair a very old phone.

The new processor and memory are much faster than Mate 20 Pro.

I haven't try to do a full reset yet. Maybe i should give it a try.

My volume down button is spoilt too. 2 days ago many random apps was downloaded on my phone, some of the apps doesn't even exist on Google play store.

How's redmi k50 ultra camera? Does Google timeline history work? I'm considering between Xiaomi 13 pro or Xiaomi 13 ultra but I needed the phone urgently in 2 weeks time before I fly.

Mine reset also no use. Yours look gone case.

K50 Ultra camera is just average. I don't use timeline and I am not sure how it works.

You may need to buy a new one from a phone shop.l directly.

I just checked my Google Timeline on K50 Ultra. The settings are there. Unfortunately, it is off by default and you cannot turn location history on. So Google Timeline is not available. This is a China ROM MIUI restriction.

Wanted to buy Honor magic 5 pro but turns out no volte.
Want to continue with huawei but cringe at the thought of having no gms and other incompatibilities with organisations or having to be a techwiz to get around stuffs.
Want to return back to Samsung but hate their profiteering practices making their phones not so durable.
Other brands got so many other compatibility issues also.
Apple is never my type of fruit.
Still looking and hanging on to old trusted mate 20pro but its lifespan seems shortening.
Hopefully, someone can suggest or come up with a great replacement for this phone.

I can't decide too. Oneplus Nord 3, OnePlus 11, Nothing Phone (2) or S23 Ultra... Thinking to change by 11/11.

Yes... Tough decision especially if you want a hassle-free phone, durable and updated regularly for longer time as its going to be another slave workhorse for many years till the next tough purchase headache.
Leaning towards honor magic 5pro, s23 Ultra or upcoming one plus 12 but so many issues.

I'm leaning more towards OP11 or S23U. I normally change phone around 3 yrs so have to find a good phone slowly n I don't mind previous gen phone even when OP12 or S24U are out cos new phone have got more issues.

Redmagic 8 pro replaces mate 20 x for me but the camera quality sucks
If you care about cam, can try vivo x6 pro
Otherwise ,what's your requirement of a smartphone?

A big thank you to all for replies and suggestions.
Not into camera as well. More on video recordings, watching videos and surfing as its second function is my computer as well. So good screen resolution, size and speed is most impt to me, besides battery.
Another big factor is the durability of the phone as I also don't like to change phones.

Actually did consider vivo before but my friend who used one, told me its not a good phone so crossed out that thought.... Haha. That's why narrowed to honor, Samsung, one plus and oppo(quite expensive so not very keen). Cheers
