Have u tried restarting your phone? My camera app also kept force closing for no reason ytd until I restarted the phone.

Well one of the benefits of Android is choice. So you get to use your own preferred Sms app, unlike Apple.

There's always people clamoring for the stock feel so guess HW didn't want to waste resources on make their own Sms app.
