Im intending to get the Otterbox Clear Symmetry for the Mate 20Pro. anyone has review?
- does the side turn yellow?
- is it really scratch resistance?
- is it a fingerprint magnet?

Saw some bad reviews for the same case for Iphone xs not sure whether its the same as for Huawei

Been using this case for close to 2 months.

The side is slightly yellowish/greenish but does not bother me much.
It is not scratch resistant.
Not a finger print magnet.

Overall opinion is that I like this case, feels more sturdy than Spigen Rugged Armour and does not add too much bulk.

Anywhere brand / shop to recommend for tempered glass ? Using a tempered glass that's quite reflective and doesn't stick

Currently using GW Mobile's at Sim Lim Square. Only complaint is the finger print not being very accurate.

Everytime I try to save a contact, it sometimes defaults to Save on Phone, sometimes Save on Google..

How to make it default to Save On Google always?

Try it...worth ur while

OK I think I know what you did.
You still have to lift the phone and the phone wakes up without unlocking?
If so it's the feature lift phone to wake. Don't have to use face id. This setting is available on its own. When u activate face id it actually ticks this option for you by default.
But if u use faceid then might as well let it unlock all the way.

Guys, may i know in what scenerio you will use camera night mode?

On mate 20 pro, HDR function work way better than night mode. It produces sharper image and faster shutter time and exposure wise, it is almost similar as night mode.

I find that mate 20 pro's night mode is kinda useless as compare to gcam nightsight ( im using redmi note 5). Gcam able to "capture" more light on darker area. When i use both phones to capture photo at same time and location (low light condition), gcam able to produce a well exposed photo while mate 20 pro photo is just dark.

Anyone can advise me on when is the best time to use mate 20 pro night mode?

I would use night mode on rather dark scenes. It's supposed to be able to pick up details but does not overexpose the photo.

I just took 3 pictures out of my apartment, one with HDR, one Night and the other Normal.

The normal showed up brightest, but the bright lights at the HDB blocks across appeared a tad overexposed, and the sky was much brighter.

The night mode: the sky was also a tad brighter than real. But the trees and bushes outside appeared very nicely. I like the green. It's a bit like day time.

The HDR lost out. As you can see the green from the bushes/trees appeared stale and the photo also appeared darker (contrary to your experience).

But I won't use night mode on adequately lit night scene. I don't think that's its strength.

My $0.02 worth.

These are the photos; I won't post the normal mode shot.
Night Mode

HDR Mode

For the record it's v dark out there. If I used iso100 and 1/60 speed, I would only be able to get some faint white light dots from the hdb. The rest would be pitch black.
There are some lights below my block. That's why u see that the trees at the front seemed to have light shining on them.
