If so it's the feature lift phone to wake. Don't have to use face id. This setting is available on its own. When u activate face id it actually ticks this option for you by default.
But if u use faceid then might as well let it unlock all the way.

No lift to wake...I use notification turn on screen

Toh ..

Currently overseas for work in Japan for 6 months, freak accident and crashed on a bicycle .. damaged my mate 20 pro and cracked a small part of the screen.

at first it was ok, just a crack on the top of the screen. However following day the screen started flickering on and off and now whenever it comes on, its a green screen.

Everything still usable just that its green - still can see a bit, but bobian need to send for repair.

So I'm going to ship it back home to send it to Huawei for repair. I still have screen warranty until march (i bought it in dec only), anyone knows if this kind of damage is covered under screen/normal warranty?

(i would call and ask myself, but for some reason I just cant get through to the 800 toll number from Japan).

Also, is it ok if my friend goes on my behalf with the receipt and all that?

Sad but lucky your screen warranty still there, just bring the phone down will do. They will check the mei..no need receipt

Unlock using face Id...but when apps required fingerprint over password still will use it as less hassle over typing...just hope it will improve over time with software updates

As long able to prove local set it doesn't matter who brings it over...

who gotten a mate 20 x here? how is it? is it too big? looking at it for the battery life. dont really like the curve screen of m20p

Been using it for 3 months. Love the speakers and it's design. Great battery which lasts for two days.
Great ergonomics thanks to its narrow bezels.

Thanks guys! Ya ... quite sad. Must be because this year skip CNY never pray :s13:
