Any idea if Huawei Mate 20 Pro a "Dual Active Sim" phone or ? i.e. meaning both sims will be concurrently running and not one sim will be on standby mode while the other sim is running.

Yeah definitely both sims running.

I don't have a mate 20 but I suspect it has to do with power management. Once the screen goes off, the app may be killed.

Turn off battery management, both android and huawei settings. And try and see.

Or, can it be toggle app itself that the phone screen needs to be on for the app to work, much like youtube.

The only thing that is out of the norm in my Battery settings are App Launch. Toggle was set to Manual.

I just changed that to Auto and see later if problem still exists.

I believe it might help. I just put everything at default and never set anything and let the AI manage itself. So all my apps are managed automatically

I am at 1.5hours SOT, 87 percent batt left, 4h 33mins on battery lol

I could use it though and project using wireless to my Samsung TV. The thing was the app just kept the phone screen on all the time. If I manually turned it off, the TV also went blank but the audio was still on. No hanging.

There is another setting (Huawei's) : Apps/Apps/Special access (the 3 vertical dots on top right)/Battery optimisation.
Look for Toggle and disallow optimisation.
Mine was allowed and it seemed to function properly.

No harm for you to try though.

Lock screen dont think can put unless u go download custom lock screen from playstore

Set that to Not allowed.

Will test tn.

Other brand phones though optimised power management also won't do this to Toggle.

Toggle on those phones still running well even after I on back the screen.

Ya. Try not allowed. I was just saying I didn't have to do it on my mate 20 pro and it still worked. But I would say try just the first change u mentioned earlier first because maybe in the manual management setting it was disallowed to run in background. Then auto mode may just solve them.

Huawei phone is super aggressive in battery management. It used to kill apps with disregards. In fact late last year, an app developer forbade installation of their apps on Huawei's phones cause the battery management made the apps unworkable and made it look bad. Not all users know and like to tweak the settings themselves. But this mate 20 pro compared to my P9+ has improved quite a lot in the power management part. But you must know where to tweak.

Any1 experience that USB C for headphone not working? I have to plug in my usb c headphone then lock and unlock my phone then only it will detect my headphone. Same as restart. Once i unplugged and plug again, it can't detect again.

I'm using wireless charger C60 gifted with Singtel plan. Yesterday my battery left with 2% and there was a msg informing the device will shut down in 30sec. So I quickly lay my device on the wireless charger, I heard the bib once sound meaning is start charging. But morning when I wake up the phone is off and no battery.

Is wireless charging need the device switched on mode to get charged?

Try nt to tweak anything and let AI handle. I realise the more u tweak the worse the battery life

I don't tweak to squeeze more juices out. In fact all my tweaks will make it worse. The reason is that there are some apps I would like to keep running in the background. So I make them stay-alive. It's irritating to me that apps I use often, and if I put them into the background for 30s, they get killed.

Someone shared some tips a few pages back. I think that will work but basically I think no apps are allowed in the background. If you can live with that, you may like to try that.

Oh, of course you can always reduce all the social media and mail apps syncing period if you can.

Doubt can control social media apps auto sync duration. I just turn off notifications for social media apps. But never set any data background restriction or battery saving as i tried that on my mate 10 pro i find that it doesnt make aby difference or worsen the battery too

Turn off WiFi and data!
Do a pull instead of push.

Maybe not allowing them to run in background can also achieve the pull effect. Haha
