Decided to spend the battery replacement money on a new phone. Also used 5 years and functioning well until recently, felt that the new updates to apps are causing this old phone apps to not be able to open. Had to uninstall and reinstall apps again to be able to use it.
So joined the honor magic bandwagon and fully satisfied with it. Felt like Huawei and better. Cheers.

is it still worth to repair mate 20 pro screen and led.

Perhaps just get another 2nd hand set and change the battery.

My mother's Mate 20 Pro is still working but it is showing signs of ageing.

I'm looking around for a new replacement for her but the new Mate series is very expensive and has no Google.

my 4yrs huawei mate 20 power button not working anymore, i press it to activate screen but can't. Instead i resort to plug in charging cable, screen light up, and i swipe screen to unlock phone. Haiz, service centre quote $200 to replace the lcd, as to replace that button, have to change lcd. So expensive, not worth to repair, do u all think so.

Did you drop or knock your huawei mate 20 before the power button become spoilt, coz mine is still good after 3 years usage, hope to last more years ahead coz the battery lifespan is very good.

I went to the hp repair shop near my house, managed to get the power button replaced for $25, and when the repairman opened up the phone, told me that the battery had warped so advised me to change as well. Battery is $40 for not HW original, original would cost $90, so i took the cheaper option, as likely to use this phone as backup, while i start sourcing for new hp by 1Q 2024 hopefully. Thanks all for sharing useful info here.

You could have waited for Huawei service day next Saturday ,free labour cost, only pay for the spare parts , battery $50
IMO, I'd feel safer with my phone repair by them

Hi,

Anyone can recommend a repair shop in the West that can replace my PowerButton on the spot?
