Any improvement in camera? Apparently P10 uses the same camera as Mate 9 but has a lot of improvement on the software side. Hoping those sw updates for camera flows down to M9

yea thats why you should look at the changelogs and not the version number.

P10 Plus has a f1.8 camera aperture which naturally means better lowlight photos so technically it's a different camera module. I'm hoping the front camera bokeh/portrait mode will come to our Mate 9 as a software update but I doubt so.

I also wouldnt mind improvement to make my mate 9 perform to its full potential. Thanks for the changelog links, its really great to know those changes are coming soon

no prob. I sincerely hope there'll be camera improvements though. can't wait for the touch latency improvement, as if the mate 9 isn't already snappy enough.

That's the P10 Plus. The P10 is F2.2 and seems exactly like the M9 hardware and in this Forbes review it states that mostly software enhancements. Hoping they will transfer the enhancements to M9.

Even though the P10's cameras get a spec bump (it's now 20- and 12-megapixel compared to the dual 12-megapixel on the P9), most of the improvement comes from just better software that's able to stitch together a superior photo. "

Huawei Releases latest Nougat update B172 for its Huawei Mate 9, this update is now available to download and install. This update optimizes system performance, battery consumption and stability. Obviously, this ROM based on latest EMUI 5.0 and having new features like app drawer, app twin etc.
