Just to share...

After i updated to B172, batt life is the same as B158 which i will get 1hr sot at 84 to 85 percent at about lunch time.

After firmware upgrade, i went to clear system cache. So yesterday i went to clear google services cache, and batt life improve.

I am now at 84 percent, i have 1.5hours of SOT.

I quite impressed with the battery. I'm not a heavy usage user but the battery is set idle for 17hrs. Now left 70 %..impressive phone. Only use GPS for travelling today. Whatsapp. Facebook. Instagram..and more

Best buy for this phone

Can assign different notification tone for different contact? I know can assign different ringtone for call but what about SMS/Whatsapp notification?

WhatsApp customized tone have to be done WhatsApp app. View contact then set the tone.

Hi guys,its m9pro user again,just so u know,since the latest upgrade to b181, play store started to install vr apps on its own such as YouTube vr,daydream etc.. I am so excited and really make me want to buy a daydream VR.well after all this is the very reason I selected this over m9,had a tough time making this decision back then between m9 and m9pro but at the end still selected m9pro coz was thinking it might be more future proof. Apparently at the beginning was abit worried as the battery doesn't seem fare so well,and neither the Amoled screen help,am also worry because I thought support for m9pro won't be that well coz the user base is much smaller.

But not until last week when I received update for m9pro until a SingTel sim,not only that,there is no bug so far and the best part is battery life improves significantly! From 4 hours SOT Max under heavy usage to easily over 6 hours now(I know still nowhere near m9)

This also shows great change IN huawei in supporting their phone. The respobsiveness and fluidity is also almost on par with Apple,compared to s7e and v10.

Anyway,just feel like sharing this with all the potential buyers out there.

PS:feel like wanna enable Google assistant now since everyone is talking about it,but can any pro here run me through again regarding the known bug of this GA(where u will get an error message when launching WhatsApp or so?)

my itchy hands went to change to glass screen protector..now all the corners are not fully on the screen as mate 9 is slightly curved on the sides.. is there any other places that sell the protector that covers fully? or i should just go back to normal screen protector?

X-One screen protector! really amazing. go JB apply, 70RM about 20 bucks really worth it.

In my experience, there is no any screen protector can cover full screen.

Can the notification from apps eg whatsapp,message,missed call be displayed on locked screen?Does lightflow works on it?
