congrats on joining the club! this phone is gonna be amazing I promise :p (unless Huawei screws it up) have you noticed the battery life and how fast it charges yet? or did I spoil it for you hehe

Yes! The speed of charging is amazingly fast for such a big pack of juice! I plugged in together at the same time with S7 and noticed the efficiency of the battery. It sure took a lot effort simply trying to drain it. Good battery is so rare in smart phones nowadays esp android phones

HAHA to be honest, that was the only reason why I got the Mate 9 (might be stupid to some I know) and I didn't expect to end up with such a beast of a phone. The charging speed wows me and I can't express how thankful I am to Huawei for using a 1080p screen so there won't be performance, heat or battery issues.

hi, typically the case happens to ahbeng shops is they claim to give u 2 years warrantly but when u return them they will usually send back to manufacturer as some parts they cant fix for you or they ask u to send to manufacturer yourself same, so in general they cant give u a 1to1 exchange if you expecting that. but then again if you are just so unlucky that you get a faulty set returning back for a 1to1 exchange within 1 week should be able to as mostly shop practise this way, but shop to shop varies so it really depends on what they mention on the spot.

then question again, if this is the case why dont you just search in carousell and buy from there since you are technically getting the same risk if the seller can provide you the date of purchase i think it should be generally safe.

Oh yes I'm very impressed that there is barely any heating up issue despite continuous use to watch videos and surf net trying to drain the batt. Gave up when it was already 11pm+ (after 24 hours) and I still have 20%. The same kind of activities on the S7 will be too hot to touch. :s13:

I always get non-contract devices. Definitely not all shops can be trusted. There are some shops you can trust and I've been buying from the same few shops for 4 years and no issues so far. I got my Mate 9 at 755. Some trust-able shops sell at 745. You can PM me if you want to know the shops name

I just got mine from Mobile Square at Far East Plaza #02-93. Local warranty with Huawei.

Sim Like Tower (not Sim Lim Square) #02-03. They sell the Spigen Rugged Armor Case for $18.90. Apparently to get that price must like their FB page LMAO.

Yeah I don't like the interface too. Only the camera is good.

i am quite happy to see new owners of mate 9 coming in to report.. making me feel that i have gotten a good phone :s13:

samsung lags after using it for half a year onwards. am not really a samsung fan especially of their note 7 battery exploding cases. makes me stay away from them even further as i rather be safe then lost my head during my sleep at night :s13:
