The face unlocks feature tends to unlock my phone accidentally. As I do not want to activate any apps without knowing, I switch it off and use the good old finger print verification.

Updated to the latest firmware. Face unlock works fine but it's slightly slower than the fingerprint sensor.

On a side note, anyone facing the issue where your SD card will corrupt/become un-writable after a few months of usage? I have replaced a few SD cards over the course of 1.5 years because of this issue

No leh. Carrying forward old sd to this set, 4yr old card so far, exfat partition.

Get good quality SD cards...

Tried so many phones. Lenovo P2, Mi A1, Mi Max 2, Pixel 2 XL, Axon 7, iPhone SE & 8 Plus, OnePlus 5, Mate 10, V30+ and Note 8 and something about this phone made me come back to it. Still my favourite for whatever reason.

Also, the display on this Mate 9 gets brighter than my Mate 10 for whatever reason.

I had already upgrade to a P20 Pro.

Currently, I had a spidgen casing for the Mate9. Please pm me whoever is interested. It's FOC.
