Did they do a factory reset as well?

You have to do factory reset yourself before you send it in, which means you have to backup your phone yourself.

So if you have not backup your phone, they teach you how to backup (download their software, install on PC, connect your phone to PC, etc...) and ask you to go back to backup your phone and come back another day

No idea. I never use their backup software. I manually backup all my stuff

I feel the maximum brightness of mate 9 is better than my current mate 20x.

Under bright sunlight, I can't really see my mate 20x screen

I bought Mate 9 on their launch and for the 2 years I was using it, I felt that I had received a reasonable amount of updates.

I owned Samsung devices before and their warranty is 1 year so I only see 1 or at most 2 updates during that 1 year period and you will never hear from Samsung again which is why I will not buy Samsung devices.

I think anyone who used other brands will notice

No leh because I think my battery got problem. All I did was tell them my phone got battery drain issue and overnight will lose 5 to 7 percent. sometimes.

They will tell you 3 working days, but it can be done in just a matter of 1 hour as I got mine back. But I did tell the cso who attended to me that I'm travelling the following day and that I'll still be in the neighborhood. 2 times I was there. Once, to replace my cracked screen and second, which was to change my battery. Both I got back my phone within 1 - 1.5 hour.

But, please don't assume it's the norm.

I sent in my Mate 9 to change the battery and they changed the LCD panel with it. They said the battery is attached to the panel and have to change together.

May I know is yr phone grey or gold color? I sent my grey for repair yesterday and the ah beng CS told me grey oos since Aug. Asked me to take gold color or wait indefinitely for the grey.
