I have just received an update and it seems that Huawei is going to use the advertisement model similar to Xiaomi to bring in extra revenue.

There is no way do disable the advertisements. So we will be seeing advertisements on our Huawei handphone very soon.

I don't mind if this helps to lower the price of Huawei phones.

how will the ad work? will it pop up suddenly when using the phone halfway?

The policy update on Ads in the phone came a few months after Huawei changed the locked screen back to without Ads. So Huawei is standing by Ads to boost revenue should the Google ban hit it hard.

Im thinking of upgrading to P30 Pro when I saw singtel has decent price for it. Prefer mate 30 pro but the lack of GMS is a concern

Happy that my mate 9 is stil going strong. But so tempted to change phone. However, new huawei no google. N don feel like buying any other brands. Considering to get p30pro now that it is likely to drop price.

At its core function as a hand phone, Mate 9 is very robust. The only technologies getting out-dated are the cameras and by the end of the year a new OS (Android 10 or higher).

I'm very tempted by Mate 30 Pro also now that the price has dropped to about $700. The P40 Pro cameras are very impressive so I will wait until end of this year to switch.

After a few months of looking at Xiaomi's hand phones, I find that its hardware is very good but there is always the software that is a little buggy e.g. battery drain, not to mention the advertisements built into the OS.

Not gonna get with contract. Sim only plan is the way to go.

Worked out the difference btw my cis xo48 plan vs my current giga $18 plan is $21 per month. So a handset price of $48 plus difference in plan for 24 months is going to cost me $552 which I thought is a good price for a brand new p30p

Took the plunge. Total cost of p30p will be around 600 taking into account the price difference of plan under contract and my current giga plan

The market price of a new P30 Pro is about $600+ and Mate 30 Pro is about $700+ now.

Hi, need recommendation here. My Mate 9 screen is cracked and phone is still under warranty till this Oct 2020. Shd I change at Huawei center or go mobile shop replace crack screen? If change at outside, the warranty void? Thanks
