Onc is translucent while the other one is not.

Protection wise both should be ok.

I think it boiled down to individual preference.

for me is the coating on the back.. feels like plastic phone on the gold. prefer the matte metal feel.

Yup, just too bad it's grey on the main body.

If not, I will choose this over the Gold.

I'm trying to use this method on xda, download the firmware and put it into the dload folder and update manually. See if it works.

Yeah even if I download the full rom from elsewhere and place in dload folder, there's no local update option in our updater app.

Tried the force update also say update fail. Sianz..

I did try the Firmware Finder app and like those posted on the XDA forum, it does not work.

Only able to upgrade to the B136 firmware using a Malaysian prepaid card but using wifi to download it.

Actually my concern is can I use normal power adapter which gave 2.4A output to charge Mate 9 as it's supposed to use much higher Ampere of 4.5A.

Lower Ampere should take longer time to fully charge it but lower current will it damage it in long term charging.

Unfortunately only by using the original cable and adapter will you get 4.5A. Doesn't work with 3rd party accessories. That's what the staff at 313 told me.
