First time own a Huawei, like to know what documents are needed when claiming warranty.

According to Huawei After Sales Policy, warranty card--the company stamp of seller or distributor in order for the warranty to become effective and proof of purchase are needed.

1) I check the box thoroughly, no warranty card found.
2) Starhub claim online order will not have hard copy receipt

For the Starhub issue, I used to have receipt pass over by the delivery guy for my previous online orders but this time they didn't, actually twice cause I bought 2x Mate 9. Starhub said they will email soft copy receipt, yet after one month, nothing.

I guess without warranty card is fine since proof of purchase should be enough. I called Huawei to ask about the issue, the CSO told me as long as the phone serial number is in their database and Warranty Period Query check shown warranty valid, I should be fine.

Like to know what's your experience with Huawei warranty claim.

Thanks.

I claimed warranty for the Nexus 6P. Just brought my Mobyshop receipt to the then Huawei Service Centre at Plaza Singapura in Sep 2016. They took it and then they adjusted the warranty period to start with the date of purchase for the next 2 years.

Collection time, they told me to keep the receipt and present it if there were any problems with the set.

To add that is precisely why you need the receipt or they will base it on their records which maybe date of distribution etc rather than the date of purchase.

Actually the warranty check on Huawei site state the warranty valid till 2019 March! that's 2 years and 2 months from now. still, proof of purchase would be more worry free, in case they change policy and demand receipt.

Thanks. :)

The huawei supercharger with stock cable will provide up to 5A@4.5V or 22.5W, more than 2x more than 2A@5V. unfortunately, both the charger and cable are proprietary. with generic charger and USB cable, the phone will only charge at 2A@5V max. some charger may only charger at 1A@5V.

Not exactly free after you factor in the price Yeah?

I got it at $788 at Qoo with extra screen protector, cover and 1 10400mAH HuaWei PowerBank so if you compare the current price which is $775 with no free gifts, I think I am better off but not much.

I still have not used the free HuaWei Powerbank yet but I think the battery is pretty lasting.

I played for 6 hours of POGO and the battery still left 17%.

I am very doubtful that got power bank output current of 4.5A. So far I saw Max output current is only 3.1A and the one HuaWei is only 2A.

And the USB C Cable can also Max current at 3A.....................:s8:
