Good for you bro. mine since B110 & now B136, mrt gantry gives me error. been using this SIM card in my S7 edge before with no problem.
Maybe can check with Huawei? I am surprised. Previously I was using the NFC SIM on my Axon 7 and it was like yours now, spotty.

When I switched over, Transit SIM was very good and worked with any configuration of SIM/SD or SIM/SIM which wasn't the case on the Axon 7.

have you tried Android Pay or Ez Link POS transactions?

If mine can work well I don't see why yours couldn't unless hardware issue.

Can anyone confirm whether Mate 9 supports 4G + 3G at the same time?

Very tempted to get this instead of the LG V20...

Yes it does.

Actually I have both phones at the moment. I am surprised I prefer the Mate 9. Likely because it is faster than the V20. I find the LG sluggish on several occasions, like it's not well optimised.

The V20 has a better audio performance, better video, camera. But I haven't really tested the B136 firmware yet with regard to the improved camera functions. But so far the Mate 9 is really a great phone.

You mean the V20 camera is better ? I thought Mate 9 is using Leica.

Owned both before but mate 9 is much better if you need the battery life.

Both are about the same price now too, will prefer mate 9 for the 2 years warranty as well.

Mate 9 is my first Huawei phone and hope it doesn't disappoint me in the long run.

I actually went P9 > Note 7 > Axon 7 > Mate 9.

Midway using Axon 7 while bang for the buck, didn't feel as polished as the Huawei. I am one that finds EMUI pleasing enough to use and I honestly missed the speed and functionalities of Huawei's fingerprint scanner.

Went to feel the V20 but it just felt cheap to me and LG reliability issues were a concern. No regrets man. Quite a fan of Huawei and this Mate 9 is lightning fast.

Actually it's the other way around, without a case the Mate 9 scuffs badly due to chamfered edges and looks like hell. You can see all the dents on the chamfered edge, so Mate 9 definitely needs a case.

The V20 holds up better. The V20 has better reliability then the G4.

But I still use the Mate 9 as my daily driver, agree that the EMUI is fun to use :D

i have a micro USB charger from the time when i was using my Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 3. Recently using the mate 9. During work, i am using the S3 cable, with the type c adapter attached to it. On the long run, will this affect the performance of the Mate 9 if i charge it using the micro USB charger with the type c adapter attached?

My previous phone is G4 and I am doubtful when someone said LG reliability is no good.

In fact my G4 is so far my most tamper phone that I dropped so many times and because I used it to play pogo, this phone was under extra high temperature for a couple of times that it actually hot till I was not able to touch and it's auto shutdown by itself. Luckily it never explode.....................:s13:

Till just a few days ago, it broke down and I was reluctant to send for servicing cause it's not under warranty anymore. Looking at the situation, it looked like need to change MB is as good as buying a new phone.

So maybe I just asked LG to see how much I need to pay before I decide to repair. I was very surprised when I was informed there was no corrosion ( meaning no need to change MB ) and they told me they will fixed it the last time FOC for me. I was really happy. They told me to wait 5 working days. And I was really surprised that I received an sms to collect back 1 day later...................

So I thought it most probably a minor problem but when I collect from LG. They told me they changed a new MB for me..................:s12:

So now I had a spare phone..................:D

Yah I'm one of those with no problems with LG so far😀 Just the V20 camera in auto mode not as great as the G4.

I like the colours of the Mate 9 photos. I did a comparison of the V20 and the Mate 9. There were details that the v20 captured but the Mate 9 did not.

I'm not bashing the Mate 9 though as it's such a pleasant phone to use.

Mate 9 and P9 are using Summarit lenses, "with input from Leica"... whatever that means...

think sound n camera wise, LG V20 is better, but LG's software is er..... and there's a bootloop problem that may or may not surface a few months later... for selected units (since not all units seem to be affected, so may be a QC issue)...

the battery cover is also not as robust as the V10... seems a bit flimsy, all the demo units at telcos seem to have warped battery covers that doesn't close properly... one demo unit's front facing camera cannot even focus!!! Just displays a blurred image when switched from the back camera...

Huawei has a superior warranty too... with free LCD screen replacement, within 3 months I think... and 1 to 1 replacement within 2 years...

so this is why I'm leaning towards the Mate 9 now...
