Saw some you tube videos comparing it against Honor 8 Pro and the screen doesn't fare that good.. Its kind of washed out..

Honor 8 pro itself don't have a good screen when compared it with Mate 9..

I think for the price paid, ($400+ converted from RM), it actually dominates the mid-range market

If the HUAWEI nova 2i is priced at a right price(maybe S$398?), it could attract potential users with its FullView 18:9 display and the 4 Camera setup (dual front camera+dual rear camera).

My thoughts exactly. $398 is too optimistic, our northern neighbour selling for $400+ (after conversion from RM) on lazada. But still, if it is $400++ with these specs, it really can be 'king' of mid-range phones

Actually during the Qoo10 10.10 sale period, MGMobile shop from toa payoh were selling it for 380. Another seller called Bruce Mobile was also selling 379 or around there with all the cart coupons and shop coupons.. So i guess the retail price should be around there.

With such specs, I doubt it will cost $300+ only, because markup in SG tend to be quite high as seen in Xiaomi products here

Hmm which has the best camera photos. I have been seeing some samples but I think Huawei, Oppo and Sony are ahead than xiaomi. But between the 3, difficult to conclude

but to be fair, specs are sick for the selling price, other than the chip. It actually looks flagship and I dare say king of midrangers. I think closest to it is Sony XA1 Plus

tried their "dual" camera ... not sure how it works ... and btw Galaxy J7 pro is now retailing @ 368 instead of 448 .. just FYI

Kirin 659 is an improved variant of the Kirin 650, performance on the K659 is slightly inferior than SD625.
