I'm on 11.0.0.3 but it's a Digi version (I previously had a 2nd msia sim as I travelled for work). Any idea how to get back the Singtel version? I have since removed my msia sim but the updates are still following Digi versions...

Anyone facing issue on GMS recently and it prompt u to use HMS on some apps? I having problem to sign in using Google account occasionally. Will have to restart the phone to get it work again. I goggled and some website say need to update Android Webview service and Chrome, which I did. But it doesnt seems solving my problem.

Btw, March patches is out.

To some users, your phone might be a treasure since it is hard to find a 2 years old phone with the default firmware

Try searching for the first ipad mini with iOS 6,its not cheap

Access huawei app in your phone, check the price and make an appointment with the help support personnel from the app itself. The battery price is +/- $20 excluding service charge (I forgot the amount already). But as and when huawei will have servicing promotions etc, so best to check the app in the phone itself.

He or she will assist you accordingly and inform you of the final price.

Take note since its a water proof phone, its best to let huawei staff help you to do the battery replacement instead of a 3rd party vendor. The water proofing will be affected the moment it gets opened up since it will be man made instead of factory machine handled.

By right battery replacement is FOC within the 2 years warranty, but since you've mentioned your usage is 2 years already, most likely need to pay for it.

So far got people for P40 series with GMS installed with HarmonyOS is not affecting the GMS feature.

That is a different thing. P40 global version does not come with GMS, so Huawei has no issues to push HarmonyOS updates. For P40 users GMS is installed by the user and it is not Huawei's responsibility even if the GMS is rendered useless. Future upgrade of HarmonyOS may well render P40 GMS hack not working anyway.

For P20/P30 global version users the situation is totally different. GMS is part of the FW. So Huawei will have to be careful. But it could be an opt-in type of upgrades with the warning that GMS may no longer work.
