although Google assured Huawei customers that they will not cut access to playstore for existing handsets, so all apps can be updated, i'm not sure if they will provide the update for the OS though. so far no confirmation that they will, or will not.

good if anyone can share any official news about OS updates.

They have removed Huawei from the beta on upcoming OS. So I don't think there will be new OS but more of the existing OS version that you are patching and licenses to.

apps confirmed will be updated via google play. but OS (android) seems like may not receive updated versions or security patches. this part is not clear it seems.

Apps is not an issue as long it supports your current version of OS. Anyway they will change again after 90 days at the mercy of google decision. Just use what you have. Future proof OS you stick to google phone or Android One phone. Huawei all along heavily customized google OS so the patches also depends on Huawei itself. If going full force on their new HM OS makes us wonder if they will still want to focus their current google OS installed phone.

If it's not in beta, how confident the os will well with the phone?

dun think they can update with final release without testing with the phone(s).

I'm already considering alternatives. maybe Sony mobile can be revived and come back SG lol.

how come the samsung singapore trade in programme for huawei dont have p30 pro inside? even the mate 20 pro have inside the list and can trade in for over 700 plus sgd. its strange. mate 20 and p 30 series all affected mah
