I think if Trump do that, he will be crazy. If all China join forces on the next mobile OS, I think google is jialat. China beidou GPS can fight typical US GPS also.

They must not forget the power of Chinese.

The ban seems hilariously arbitrary, people should still hold onto their Huawei handsets because for all you know Trump could lift it in 2 weeks once China starts retaliating (and you know they will. Halting all Apple production, for a start?)

That's a disingenuous statement. Any other phone that got blackballed by Google would have the same issue. It's still early days so we don't know how the situation will play out yet. Will the US lift the ruling in 3 weeks? Will Huawei actually fork Android? Will your Mi Max be even worth a hundred dollars?

who knows.

IMO the really stupid ones are the people who keep trying to spread fear here and low ball 100 or 200 to buy HW phones lol
Just look at the number of Carousell WTB

for those who are attracted to the camera/phone ergonomics & design, you can just carry on using the phone like I do. only consolations:
Google services no more in the background
better battery life

LOL you might as well throw your phone and use computer instead. The whole point of apps is to circumvent browsers.

Ignore the lowballers, they’re just here for the laughs. Current owners should just hold onto the phone IMHO. It works just fine no? That’s partly why this thread is so quiet lol.

Are people actually selling the phone for $750? That’s nuts, a 50% price drop in 2 months. The situation is a little crazy right now and this would be the absolute worst time to sell the phone.

actually during the initial stage of Android, most users also self load custom firmwares and apks because the manufacturer took ages to update their official firmware. the most we just do that again.

i went for p30 because i couldn't find a phone in the market that has good camera and retaining the 3.5mm port.
