I want the 4GB/64GB (L29) as it supports more bands but in Silver/Gray :( Only a single colour is very strange.

Any news if the dual-sim supports 4G+3G simultaneously? Otherwise it's not much use for dual-sim usage.

The color selection is not finalized. Huawei will officially announce it 6pm today. Dual SIM usage right now is purposed for overseas usage as in local sim on SIM1 and Singapore SIM on SIM2. Firmware update for SIM2 to support 3G is TBD.

can the simulated bokeh be turned off? Considering to get this phone instead of LG G5.

Simulated bokeh is not automatic, you have to turn it on actively. Default shots do not have simulated bokeh.

Lots of new reviews:

"As for the quality of images captured by the P9, the Leica collaboration has really paid off. Our outdoor test shots were incredibly vibrant with plenty of colour saturation, and that extra contrast captured by the monochrome sensor is particularly telling, too, with photos appearing punchy. "

They say all the nice things about the Huawei P9's dual Leica cameras! "A wide-angle lens crams more into the picture, while bigger pixels let more light into the images, which means low light is no longer as much of a problem as it was for other phones. In daylight, the P9 puts in an impressive performance, capturing more detail and clearer images when compared with its rivals. And it does all this without the now ubiquitous camera bump that catches on your pockets as you put the phone away."

The Wall Street Journal tests the Huawei P9 against the Samsung S7 and the iPhone. For those looking for truly better dynamic range... "Huawei's night shot wasn't the brightest, but it showed the best color balance and dynamic range (between the dark and light areas) overall."

Here's a SUPER article about how Leica and Huawei collaborated on making that super dual lens camera of the Huawei P9.

"Something the two firms definitely didn't see eye-to-eye on was colour reproduction, with Huawei favouring vibrance and Leica insisting on accuracy. "During our collaboration, we found that westerners and easterners have different perspectives on good photography. For example, when the Huawei team thought it came up with very good photo effects, the Leica team didn't think they were authentic enough, [saying] they should be true to the original colours."

By the way if you don't like the natural colors, there's a function in the camera you can adjust to increase default color saturation, brightness and contrast.

Thanks for the info. I actually plan to use the phone between Japan and Singapore. Japan, I believe, has already switched off 2G so that's why it's important for me.

Huawei announced color configuration for Singapore
The Huawei P9, which is a dual-lens smartphone co-engineered with Leica, is coming to you real soon in Singapore! Colours available are Haze Gold (64GB), Titanium Grey (32GB), Mystic Silver (32GB) and Prestige Gold (32GB).

Which will you pick? Guess the price!

Price I think will be $900 for 32GB version, although hoping $900 for 64GB and $800 for 32GB ;)

If can confirm the 3GB/32GB works in Japan then I think I'll get the Mystic Silver. Will all the colours be on display somewhere?

Whack 32gb gold, only if it's priced similar to the Mate 8

Do you think the Telcos will take it? One of the problems with this brand is if you want to trade-in. Not possible at their flagship store @PS and hard to find a willing vendor in say Far East.....

German Portrait photographer Florian Weiler. A bokeh expert - most of his photographs exhibit bokeh, he knows bokeh. Taking a walk with his beautiful model in the woods. With the Huawei P9.

The Huawei P9 meets the very DETAILED expert reviewers in GSMarena. And boy did they give a super in depth review. If there is only one review you read, make sure it's the GSMarena one. They are positively thorough.
"With Huawei P9 the photography geeks will rejoice while the rest may find a stunning looker they must have. The Huawei P9 may not be the fastest smartphone around, but it is so many other things. It's beautiful and snappy, it's a skilled photographer, it's got a great screen, rich software features and customizations, and it's also got expandable storage. The competition has a lot to offer, too, but so does the P9."
