hi yyhwin,

What were your insights that caused you to sell off your HK stocks? It's good timing. I'm sure all of us can learn something from you.

No insight. It happened to hit my price to lock profit( means minimum profit I am willing to accept. Sad.) :(

** take note, it is not taking profit, it is locking profit, pay attention to the difference between the two.

I think his stock account probably exploded already if use margin. Even if not exploded but unrealised loss is in low six figures. No update on his blog since Jul 2018.

LOL...
I also want to know is that guy here in this forum :s13::s13:

But when I showed it to my hubby, he says this is CFD? Risky trade.

It is called margin trading. I borrowed money from IB to buy stocks, that's why short on cash and long on stocks.

Why don't u take profit now and can have S$1.5 mil already?

That is in HKD, not SGD.

I already took profit somewhere in May and June 2018, used the earnings to buy a small condo for my wife. After some reno, leased it recently.

1600 sgd. :vijayadmin:
2 years contract.

Isn't that too low? When I was looking to rent in Lakeside area condos like Caspian 1 bedder was like 2.1k. I tried a lot to get for 1.8k didn't get. Then chose a 5i HDB for 1.8k

1 or 2 bedder first?

Caspian is a leasehold 99 years condo.

Usually freehold condo rental yield lower.
Anyway, now rental drops quite a bit.... :) you should be able to get 1800 -1900 for 1 bedder at that condo.
