A lot of uncertainty if I jump dunno if bonus package and medical package is good

its abt taking risk (by gut feel or tikam)

if employment arrangement is the uncertain/unstable kind, can't blame myself if I harbour thoughts of moving (and been actively applying)

Usually when companies hire external party to do background checks, what's really being checked on?

How would I answer the question "have you ever been terminated/dismissed from employment before?", if I did not pass probation in a new job? Should the respond be yes or no?

I would answer as a 'No'.
Nv pass probation usually company will extend or c how well u can fit in
Got company dismissed a staff cos the nv pass probation?

Hello experts, usually if a staff gets a PIP, is it necessary to have a HR person looped into it (cc in email, sign some official PIP document etc), or can the manager just DIY and do whatever he deems fit?

Usually HR will be involved

Anyone knows how to report to MOM any possible contravention of MOM regulations like Employment Pass etc

Also, is a company liable to be sued if they terminate the employment of someone with mental health (self proclaimed without doctor's report) and that is affecting work quality and hours?

I don't think it's void. PIP means a s set of measurable goals within a time frame to measure your performance. HR not involved also is a way to measure your performance.

Usually hiring manager will not unilaterally put someone on PIP without HR in the loop anyway. It's part of company sop to ensure processes are followed

Hahah won't be surprised if there isn't any actual SOP established and people can just pull thing out from where the sun don't shine.

True, but if the manager is a bad actor she can just anyhow set unrealistic goals and/or measure it with a yardstick that is like monkey god's shape shifting golden rod, so the goal post can change size and positions.

There are many ways to get rid of employees. If tio pip, I'd use the time to find new job. Why waste each other time.

Sometimes, it's not about performance also. Could also be personality conflict.
