yes.. problem is
infractions are given ASAP... but responses to feedback are nonexistent
fact, warnings/infractions are only given asap if it's a clear cut case, for example, aiming vulgarities at someone directly or advertising.
Response to feedback is a few days to 1-2 week, not non-existent, for majority of the cases. Only complicated cases takes longer.
Some will be missed, do highlight again. And some cases, no matter the response, the one giving the feedback won't be happy so it's up to admin to make final decision. One can't go on endlessly no matter what feedback it is.
got time to infract but no time to investigate? even if that is really the case, infraction shows you have already decided the end game and anything else is just a charade to work towards that
Nope, infraction only shows it's that particular mod that has decided it, not all mods+admin might agree. If you have dispute with that decision, then bring it up. Other Mods and admin might step in if the case is less straightforward.
In case you do not know, mods have been speak to/removed for giving wrong warnings/infractions.
Warnings and infractions have been reversed before. But by and large, most stays, that's the point of having a mod/admin, to give mostly the right decision or decisions that follows the tnc anyway.
If most of these warnings/infractions are reversed, then that mod/admin won't even be mod/admin.
maybe a good start will be having transparency... too oftens mods juz keep infracting and banning with no accountability... raising feedback is next to useless cause either no response or u get more infraction.. more questions u raise, the more infractions you get... den you get banned.. all this before even getting a proper response... see where im going here? its possible for a mod to silence a complaint by just banning. the fact that the first page is full of no response shows that they r not held accountable for anything
I personally agree that more infractions happen too often in feedback forum. But also look at the attitude shown when bringing up a feedback, it's often very hostile, making needless accusation before any response is even being made, thereby resulting in more warnings/infractions before we even look into the issue.
2 way street. You made a feedback, wait for a reply, if no reply for a week, probe again. There should be a response by then. Hurling abuse or demanding admins/mods response while making needless remarks and accusations of admin/mods not doing anything about your feedback is why most can't get a response before being ban.
Look at most of the ones who got ban before getting any reply, raise any examples you see. Most if not all of them, just continue making rants day after day when mods/admin has not reply yet. A little patience goes a long way.
Also to say no response, I don't think so. A first page full of no response only shows that, first page cases are latest cases, meanings they are still being look into. It would be worrying only if more pages goes into no response mode. Fresh cases taking time is understandable. And if your case happens to go past first page, probe again and more often than not, it will surely have a response.
We try to clear it on first come first serve but not all cases are easy to reply to. Especially for threads with many many pages of posting to look into.
I personally looked into 50-100 pages of post to clear complaints/report before. How do you expect us to reply within 1-2 day?
the fact that most of the community thinks that the feedback forum is a sham and are skeptical is telling.. and its not because we are being difficult... people think that cause that is how the complaints mechanism is functioning... you cant expect ppl to think that everything is well and sing kumbaya together while having a broken system
You do realise, most who uses the feedback forum are usually the ones who have problems and are already not happy about mods/admin's decision right?
So if most of those cases are not reversed, why would most members who has used it be happy about the mods/admins to begin with?
You are expecting a group of people that complaints in the feedback forum about the decisions of mods/admins and expecting them to feel good about the feedback forum after not getting what they want, mostly. That sure won't look good.
