- reuse clothing donated from other relatives’ kids for manny years

- use same pair of school shoes for few years since no $$ to buy new pair

- only meal I had everyday for lunch for three years was cooked rice with water and salt coz no money to buy meat/ eggs

- “helping” at relatives’ shophouse after school for some $$

On serious note. Don't be disheartened. Many here were poor, most got through it one way or another. Study hard, work hard...I don't even have my own computer until after I've gotten my first job... Singapore have a lot more opportunities compared to many other countries...you should be fine eventually.
