Congrats, we should start a owners thread soon for tips, amps and headphones that go well together.how do you intend to burn in the 200 hours? Any intermittent skip so far while using the interface?

I'll be playing random music and letting it burn in and also listen while burning in. :)

Speakers require more precise burning in so I'll just let this baby burn in regularly. :D

Tested on my friend's HD800 and my W3000 yesterday. I find that it matches the HD800 very well.:s12:

Initial impressions(no burn-in):

Line out to my good old Altec Lansing CS21 Speakers:

This DAP is very analytical sounding. I can hear things which I don't hear previously on my dacport. It presents everything upfront to you. All the details are present and there's instrument decay. There's definitely a sense of depth, separation and positioning to the sound.

What's good:
Fantastic Sound, my current equipment is the limiting factor here.
Build Quality is top notch, no sharp edges
Ample Storage Space
Lineout, Digital Out
The Internal Headphone amp sounds pretty close to the O2 amp at low gain setting
Ability to use the two headphone out + line out together(but volume is across the board)
Apple File format support

What's not so good:
VERY Expensive
Heavy, not pocket friendly
Low Battery Life
Standby mode and Wifi drains battery
Heat, this thing runs quite warm, not recommend to put in a seal bag
Transfer rate: 8mb/sec or less
Laggy UI
Screen is not sensitive enough, have to use quite abit of pressure
tends to skip if you play around with the player(finding songs or etc)
Hiss with high gain.
Volume control does not work if player is on standby mode/locked. Only works unlocked.
Bugs, yes this thing has bugs and will crash once in a while.

To extend battery life, disable all the WIFI, location service and data-related processes, lower brightness. As for low battery life, I realise there are people in China willing to put up with the 4-hour battery life on the Sony PCM-D1 but complain about the 7-8 hour battery life on HM-801, C4 and DX100. They are just biased against their own products, thinking MIC products must be cheap cheap.

At least iBasso seems pro-active in fixing bugs and a new update is due soon.

No idea, maybe C4 or some desktop gear. But looking at their comments can vomit blood...

Ibasso included the 2 prong(china) for the AC adaptor, can't plug into our singapore plugs must use multi-plug with correct socket.

Waoh, iBasso is really fast in reimbursing the shipping fee!

dqwong: yup, that's the one they provided. not really a problem though.

I guess it's the start of Ibasso fanboys(yeah, I'm one of them now).

Now time to take on the Sony Z fanboys(lead by Vulpix)

After playing around with the D-filter.. it seems like sharp Roll-off changes the sound signature of the Ibasso to a more laid back sound signature.

I guess it's going to sharp roll off for me.

Slow roll off makes my westone4R sound like a Brainwavz B2. :s22:
