You using forwarder? Which one? Maybe I got it wrong, probably they blocked the forwarder's address. Some companies do that.

No did not use a forwarder coz I think Lenovo blocks most of them like Comgateway, Borderlinx and vpost. Should be ok if you use any other US address. I have an office in the US, so I just use that address.

Your USA office address is a tax free address?

OK leh... my order using Amazon went through, now released to manufacturing and deducted from my card.

Hi bro,

So buying thru Amazon checkout can pay by using Singapore-issued local credit cards you mean? All people have to do is to provide a valid US address besides the 3rd party forwarders used or given to us, right?:)

Calvin

Just bought from Addon over the weekend. $79 for the 90W charger. If you don't want the box, you can opt for the same charger at $49. Both with warranty of 1 year.

Hi guys, i've got a Thinkpad X230 which i bought off a fellow forum-er here. It was good when i bought it but lately there are many faults surfacing. I believe it is still under warranty but the question is can i send for repairs when i'm not the original purchaser?

They may request for the receipt sometimes, but most often they don't. They will cover the parts as long as your warranty is in effect.

Nope. All comes bundled with Windows OS. US used to offer some with MS-DOS, but also stopped offering a while back.

Now waiting for the new Thinkpads T series with IPS panel. Going to hoot 1 more.

That day T431s going for USD76x. So tempted to hoot buy decided otherwise as not using IPS panel.

Wow! Nicely speced. A similar T530 is going for around $3.2k on the US site, so can work from there and factor in the rest of the accessories.

Why do you want to sell it?

Initially thought I will need it for work so kinda like an impulse buy. After that. gosh.... I'm mostly on my desktop.

Poor thing only got to show its glory during 2 short presentations. The rest of the time only boot up to update windows and surf net.

Rather than it sitting there collect dust, might as well let go to other ThinkPad supporters. :)

Thanks alot bro, they indeed did not request for any proof. My 'delete' button was faulty and they had to replace the whole keyboard. To make things better, they replaced it with a backlit set which is not available here!
