X220 disk at 100%

Hi all, I have a X220 running on Samsung Evo 840 SSD.

Today i experienced my X220 running very slow at boot up and opening any programs. Upon opening task manager it shows the disk running at 100%.

The last update I did to the laptop was to run the Lenovo Update Drivers software and I rmb the BIOS update was include in it.

I decide to reinstall the BIOS using a bootable CD but even with the BIOS install again, it's still very slow.

I'm now reinstalling WIndows 8.1 but the installation setup screen is also very slow even with the disk formatted.

Anything else i missed ?

BIOS settings for disk is set to ACHI already.

Quick questions for those that bought Thinkpads from USA. Does international warranty still work in SG if I buy from USA? Depot, Onsite, Sealed Battery and Accidental Damage Protection? Kind of sucky that Lenovo charges over $1000 for a 3year service but USA only charges USD215.

I think is better to buy in sg. I just brought mine last week in SG and is with 3 years warrant.

If compare... price is just 200 to 300 diff from USA lenovo.

Buying Thinkpad W550s

Hi, is there anywhere in Singapore that I could buy a Thinkpad W550s? I have searched everywhere but seems like only Lenovo US online store offers the W550s.

I'm quite reluctant to buy through the US store since the adapter would be the flat 2-pin plug instead of the UK 3-pin used in Singapore, which means I would need to go search separately for the 3-pin version of the adapter.

If not, does anyone know the release date of the W550S in Singapore then?
