Cheapest I can find is ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 / ship within 4 weeks

highlight
1. Intel 11th gen i5-1135G7
2. 16 gb ram
3. 512 SSD
4. 14" 100% SRGB screen
5. Fingerprint & backlit keyboard
6. AX wifi
7. 3 years onsite warranty

bad part is it's slightly thicker and heavier at 1.6kg compared to Ts series

$1285.75 ... prob might get it cheaper with combo of shopback / credit card discount

don't go for E series. sucky...

Hmm I am not that good in such technical aspects. I just need something to bring to school for studies on weekends, do projects and assignments, won't be gaming on it. A front camera is good to have, in case need to zoom for study virtual meeting. I don't mind even it's not lightweight or 14" screen

Sent from Xiaomi POCOPHONE F1 using GAGT
Maybe can try Legion?

Sucky in what sense? They are still Thinkpads, and internally built to a much higher QC than ideapad/yoga/legion.

Thinkpads are built for enterprises, even their lower end series. Home series laptops remain at that level.

And Enterprise use laptops are intended for long hours, almost always on 12h a day type of usage, whereas home-use machines are not intended for that level of usage.

I have a X1 5th Gen with i5 processor, 8GB ram and 256GB sdd... cannot run virtualbox with Kali/ubuntu smoothly even i set to 1 core, 2GB ram and 10GB space.

Sigh, may need to build a desktop with 16 core, 32GB ram and 500GB sdd.

You can purchase through Lenovo Vantage, click on Explore options on the Warranty window.
Click on Explore options again, and a window will pop up will show up with the available options.
Prices will be more expensive than buying it upfront when you purchased the laptop though.

Bought a 8gb+256gb x260 for around $370 during 12-12. I know isnt the cheapest deal around, but will make do for WFH from home
