ok, i had a customer yesterday from SP. brought in a W500. he tells me he get stuck at the win 7 loading page. i check for him his warranty, 2009 - 2012 onsite 4 hrs response. so he asked if is it that we will fix it up within 4 hrs. answer is no.

ok guys, pls understand. 4 hrs respsonse means that my colleagues or even myself will be at ur place within 4 hours of the time u log in ur call. meaning, lets say u call up technical helpdesk 800-6011-343 at 9am, we will reach by 1pm. not getting it fixed by 1pm. pls understand as there are alot of users too, we are not superman or mutants. it takes time for us to reply to ur calls. and dun be mistaken, if u have onsite warranty, u still can bring in ur machine to Changi Business Park or Parkview Square.

happy hooting IT Fair 2010~

Dimensions: 11.6 x 9.2 x 0.8 - 1.4"

curious how they derive at 12.1" screen.

ahtea thx for your link.
You are welcome. It's measured diagonally thus I think it is possible to achieve.

The X201's design is really quite compact to start off.

School one much better and more value compared to Show Prices.

You can't really compare a netbook with the X201. Netbooks run on the puny atom processor, while the X201 runs on the i5 or i7 at over 2.4+ghz. Furthermore, the X201 has a full sized keyboard - a very important consideration when doing lots of work on the notebook. Do take note however that the X201 supports the gobi 2000 WWAN while the X201s does not.

yes. buying from schools is a better option. because school users get better warranty packages. most of them is onsite. whereas if u're a normal consumer, its just carry in. happy hooting.

Yea, @ 1.6k the X201 is a very sweet deal. On top of that you still get some common freebies ( Bag, Mouse, Cable lock + Ext Dvd Drive ).

Can you double check if you have a WWAN antenna built into your LCD and if the Gobi 2000 WWAN card is installed? You can see it listed down on the box as WWAN Ant. or WWAN misc parts.? If you do, then try Access Connections and setup from there
