Hi folks, any recommendation of a good repair shop.
Model is X1 Yoga 2G, touch screen module cracked and not working. Behind screen is ok and working.
Unit still on warranty but Lenovo will probably quote more than 1 thousand to replace.

TIA.

If you want to play the waiting game, it will definitely get cheaper. Gen 7 will be out soon in Jan/Feb.

Lenovo SG are bloodsuckers with useless promotions. I got mine via US site (with perk offers 35% discount). It's the 8650u model with 1tb ssd, 16gb ram and dolby display. Cost me about 2500 sgd. My friend helped to bring it over to singapore so I avoided the comgateway concierge costs and GST. Even with those, it will probably cost 2700-2800 and it is still considerably cheaper than Singapore.

I think it's worth waiting for x1 carbon gen 7 over the couple of months and get it through US website using the corporate perks deals.

I'm not in a rush to get.. probably will wait for Gen 7.. but usually Singapore will release late right?

ya usually late. Even if it comes on time, the special feature models (ie HDR display) will be late. Better to find some lobang in USA and prepare

For bit locker key, I have never setup one before on my x1 carbon and is not found on any of my Microsoft account.

Anyone has encountered this issue?

While bitlocker protects your hdd, it also create some problems.
eg after successfully sign in bitlocker screen, only show mouse point.

make sure you have you have all your data backed up. else it will go into the drain.

Also do note all hard disk encryption slow down the hard disk
If you are ready to accept that then proceed.

Bitlocker is only found on professional version or higher.
You don't need any microsoft account.
Just go control panel to enable/disable it.

I just bought a P24h-10 (QHD USB type-c monitor) and use it with X280. On the extended display mode, the external display max resolution is 1920 x 1080. The PSREF states that it can go 4K on USB Type-C. I recall when I first tested it, it can work on the native resolution. I’m on Windows 10 v1709. Can someone help me with this? Thank you!
