i happened to browse through the lenovo singapore website searching for a thinkpad notebook...
saw the T series model featuring Intel® Core™ i5-520M Processor.
is these notebook better than those with C2D processor in terms for business usage?

Yes, it is the newest range of Thinkpads which was released in the recent CES show.

I got a question.

Currently my Lenovo X200 comes with a 160 GB WD harddisk.

If I sell that off (should I?), and replace it with a 640GB WD HD from Sim Lim, would that affect the warranty of the other components? i.e. what do I do if let's say my CPU/mainboard dies, and I'm using the new 640GB HD that I bought myself? Take out the HD and send it for warranty?

Thanks.

It should not affect the warranty. However, do remember to clone out the recovery image onto a DVD before you take off the hard disk and replace it with a new one.

It should have wireless build in for the T410s unless you are talking about mobile broadband.

The prices are not standard. They are having quite a bit of sales on and off with freebies (ext hdd, usb dvd etc) in order to clear stock for the new updated i3/i5 core models.

I saw an ad in the Today papers yesterday, was advertising two models of T410, one with discrete graphics and another with Intel HD graphics. PM me if you want me to scan a copy for you..think i still have it somewhere. Or let me know if you want a configurable Thinkpad.

Good luck

Spare hinge kato P/N 42W3653,42W3654

Hi folks,

I recently replaced my left hinge for my T61p (non-wide) after it broke :s27:

I bought a replacement part from IBM for $60 and it came in a pair, so i have a spare left hinge for anyone else who needs it. Part number as stated above.

The hinge is shown in the diagram above (no. 5). PM me if you need it.

Hi Mike, you can try checking out the lenovo stores if you can find one in your vacinity, the prices should be significantly cheaper, though just make sure that it comes with international warranty. Personally, I have yet to visit a store there, but I know that they have a lot of good offers on their website.

Thanks gohkhm for the info - so better to visit local stores rather than buy from Lenovo US website yeah? Anyway they need 14 business days to deliver the item and I might not stay that long.

I am eyeing either T410 or T510. If only there is T410 that has 1680x1050 resolution with DVI output port :)

Thanks again!

Hi anyone using Thinkpad SL410?
I am considering this unit vs Dell New Inspiron 14 using processor i3-330m, 2gb ddr3, 14", intel HD video graphic.
Can advise which one should I buy? My budget is below $1.2
Thanks
